Chapter 4

"Can you pass the potatoes Sage?"

"Yeah of course Libby, but are you okay?"

"Of course I am." Sage knew she was lying through her teeth but right now wasn't the best time to confront her about it. His thoughts were interrupted by a tall girl with short brown hair, "Hey Libby was it? I just wanted to thank you about what you said about my cooking it means a lot to me."

"No problem, your name is Tori right?"

"Yup! But I'll see you around." She walked over to her spot beside Arianna.

Libby smiled to herself 'Maybe I can't make everyone happy but one is better than none.' She sighed and started to eat her food.

"Oh my gosh!" Exclaimed Jamie "Have you guys tried the apple pie yet! It's the best!"

He looked at Libby and Liam who were sitting across from him. "Hey Liam you wanna try something fun?" Before Liam could answer Jamie started telling him what to do. " So you know in all those romantic comedies how one person would feed the other! Well do that with Libby!"

"No." He narrowed his eyes at the male.

"Yeah....We're not doing that." Libby said giving Jamie a disturbed look.

"But I saw this in a movie once!" He whined starting to tear up.

Libby turned to whisper to Liam, "Did he have any alcohol?" He laughed in response "Please if Jamie had any alcohol he would be in a corner rocking back and forth and singing disney songs."

Libby laughed, "You know you're pretty funny."

"Yeah but you're pretty beautiful." He said now realizing that he started flirting.

"Ack I'm sorry!" He said with a flushed face.

Which caused Libby to laugh even more.

Sage looked over in disgust, "Can you believe them? Flirting at dinner?"

Arianna rolled her eyes "If I were you I'd shut up, Let Libby have a little fun. Besides there's a lot worse guys out there that could be eyeing her up."

"I guess..." He whined.

Tori chimed in "Imagine if her and Liam got to share a room! Than you'd really flip out!"

Ariana and Tori continued making fun of Sage for the rest of the dinner.

-After Dinner-

"Who's gonna wash the dishes tonight!?" Yelled Arianna trying to get everyone's attention.

A guy wearing a suit and tie and black gelled hair put up his hand instantly. "Please! Let me!"

Arianna looked at him, "Um..Ok? Oh and Sage?" He nodded.

"Okay the rest of you can go and do whatever. Also I don't care what time you go to sleep, Just don't blast any music at 2 a.m. please." She begged. Everyone nodded before running off (except Sage and the other guy). "So, er... hello. My name is Cory! Who are you?" Sage turned to Cory. "Sage. It's nice to meet you, bro." He replied, smiling at him before digging his hands into the dishes. Cory smiled back, slowly getting beside him and waiting for a stack of dishes to come his way. "So, Cory. Tell me about yourself, bro. I'm pretty sure that you'll be like, awesome." Sage said, scrubbing at a plate.

"Oh, well... I'm originally from Australia and so as my sister... which should be here by now." He mumbled, looking at the doorway. "Hey, don't worry bro. She's probably just late!"

"Knowing her, yes. She could be so wise and then irresponsible sometimes." He said, sighing to himself. "O-M-G! I can so relate bro! Libby can be so smart one second but then she can be so dumb because of a boy that she likes! And she just met him, like what, 5 minutes ago?!" He yelled, scrubing furiously at a fork before rinsing off the soap. Cory grabbed it before wiping off the water. "I feel sorry for you."

"Sisters can be hard to deal with." They both said in sync before laughing.

"I already like you, Cory." He said, smiling.
