Twenty-nine

"AHHH! Matthias help!" impit na sigaw ni Elayne habang hawak hawakuang tiyan.

The pain she is feeling is unbearable!

"MATTHIAS!" maya-maya pa nakarinig na siya ng iilang hakbang.

A panic expression appeared on her sight.

"I-I think my water broke. Manganganak nako honey!" dahil doon agad na lumapit si Matthias kay Elayne at binuhat siya.

"T-tell me what to do, hon. Nagpapanik ako!"

"Just calm down and drive me to the hospital. I can't bear the pain, hon. Move your ass faster!"

"But I'm cooking!" natatarantang saad nito habang naglalakad ng mabilis.

"Then tell Cardo to do something about it! Hello! Alangan naman ako pa ang mag-adjust!"

At napabuga ng hangin si Elayne.

Another wave of pain surrounded her being.

"Ah! It's painful. Dali na!"

Mas bumilis ang paglalakad ni Matthias.

"Hold on honey. I'll drive you safe in the nearest hospital."

"Cardo pakitignan ang niluluto ko sa loob. You're mom Elayne is about to deliver our twins. I'll call you later."

Hindi na umimik si Elayne ng magsalita ang mahal niya. She shut her eyes while feeling the searing pain.

"honey? Honey?"

"honey?" napamulat ng mata si Elayne ng hindi tumigil sa kakatawag si Matthias.

"ANO?!" galit niyang saad.

Matthias smiled and looked away.

"I love you." tila hinaplos ng hangin ang puso niya't napangiti rin.

Sweat is visible in her forehead.

Tumatango na sumagot siya.

"I love you too hon."

"CONGRATULATIONS! mommy, daddy, here's your babies. Both are girls." umiiyak na napahalik sa noo ni Elayne si Matthias.

For almost eight hours of labor. Lumabas narin ang dalawang anak nila.

"I-I thought they were boys." umiiyak na saad ni Elayne. Hindi niya kasi alam ang gender ng anak niya. After she was rushed to the hospital after the Bianca's incident, ipina-ultrasound siya at hindi ipinaalam sakanya ang gender ng anak nila.

"They're beautiful." nakangiti habang namumuo ang luha sa mata ni Matthias.

He can't believe it. He has now his own family. A family that will be with him through his ups and downs.

"Thank you honey. Thank you for coming in my boring life. Thank you for giving birth for this two little princesses of mine." he said while looking at his two new born babies.

"You're always welcome Matthias. You will be always welcome."

After that Elayne closed her eyes for she was really tired of giving birth of their twins.

"WAH! They look really the same! Manang-mana nila ang mukha ng daddy at mommy nila. They're beautiful!" saad ni Venice habang pumapalakpak.

All of the grey in men, Matthias friends, came and celebrate with them. Venice, Ansel and the proud grandparents came too.

"Look at them Patricio, para silang anghel."

"Grabe man! I think I want to have my own baby just by looking at them!"

"Buntisin mo na kasi ang kursunada mo!"

All of the people laugh upon hearing each of them's voice.

Elayne is half awake. She doesn't have much energy to open her eyes and talk with them.

"Honey, look at our twins. Manang mana ang itsura sa atin."

Napangiti si Elayne at nangungutyang napatingin kay Matthias.

"Sabi nila kung sino daw ang mas nasarapan sa paggawa nila ng baby dun daw magmamana ang anak nila. Ano 'yon? Tayong dalawa pala?" natawa si Matthias at hinalikan ang noo nito.

"Of course, you're hotter than hell and I'm good at bed. Sinong di masasarapan sa performance ko?" natampal ni Elayne ang kamay ni Matthias at natawa nalang sila.

"I love you honey."

"I love you too."

"Anong iniisip mo?" tanong ni Matthias at naupo sa harap ng crib ni Matthiese Elianna Ysabelle. Ang panganay sa kambal.

Nakatitig kasi si Elayne sa kawalan. Kakatapos lang niyang padedehen ang anak kambal.

"I am thinking of my friend doctor Steffane. Hindi ko na siya nakontak simula ng umalis siya sa pilipinas. Kamusta na kaya siya?"

Lumapit si Matthias sakanya at hinagod ang likod niya.

"I'm sure she's fine now. If you want, kapag nag-isang taon na ang kambal, pupuntahan natin 'yang kaibigan mo." pag-aalo ni Matthias sa kaniya.

"Naalala ko lang kasi, before she went back on her home, parang balisa siya at may problema."

"Don't worry honey. Doctors can save life, I'm sure she did survived her problem now."

Elayne hugged him tightly. Matthias has been a good partner for her. He always make her feel special. He always make her feel na hindi siya nag-iisa sa pagpapalaki sa mga anak nila.

At midnight, Matthias will be the one na magpapatahan sa iyakin nilang anak na si Ysabelle.

Mathiese  Elianna Ysabelle and Matthiesse Elaine Leora, ang tanging bumubusog sa puso ni Elayne bukod sa mahal niyang si Matthias.

Akala ni Elayne after she and Glenn broke up and after knowing Matthias impregnate her, her life will be totally useless and wreck.

Akala niya lang pala, kasi si Matthias pala ang bubuo muli sa puso niya, kaya ng pagbuo niya sa buhay nito.

Napaigtad si Elayne ng yakapin siya ni Matthias mula sa likod.

"Thank you Elayne Valdez-Williams, in the near future, for completing me. You made me realize that life isn't that horrible. That life can be meaningful."

"As I've said, I left already the underground business for you and for our twins. Ayokong mayroon pang mangyaring masama sa'yo o sainyo. I've been so wrecked when I almost lost you. Thanks to Him, ipinalik ka niya saakin."

Napaharap si Elayne sakanya at hinalikan 'to sa labi.

"Thank you for sacrificing honey. I know your business underground is very important. Pinalago mo 'to, all of your life ito ang naging lakas mo. Pero dahil sa amin bibitawan mo 'to and I can't see a hint of regret. Mas lalo kitang minamahal."

Instead of replying. Matthias kissed her,  so much passion and so much love.

When...

"Wahhh! Wahh!" a loud cry stopped them. Ysabelle cried at umiyak nadin si Leora. Nagkatinginan sila at napangiti.

"Ano ba yan baby. Ayaw niyo bang mag-loving loving si mommy at daddy? Ang iyakin talaga ng baby Ysabelle ko." at inalo niya ang dalawa. Tumayo nalang si Elayne at nagtungo sa kusina.

Indeed life will be more beautiful with your love of your life.
