"You're insane." Emma yelled from up above.

"Just jump Emma, you'll be fine." Ethan yelled from down below. He shook his wet her and gave her an encouraging smile.

"Says the crazy lunatic." Emma said.

"Takes one to know one." Ethan said. "Don't worry I'll be here to catch you."

Emma stopped hugging the rock and peaked over the ledge of the cliff. Her heart was rapidly beating, and anxiety was clawing at her throat, nearly suffocating her as she looked at the long drop down, but like with everything since Ethan came crashing into her life she blindly threw herself into the unknown. The fall was deep and she could feel pressure in her lungs as she fought her way up to the surface. She gasped for air, slightly coughing and when she opened her eyes she was greeted by his radiant smile. One of his arms was holding her up and her hand absentmindedly rested on his chest.

"Told you I'd be here to catch you." He said and Emma smiled.

oOoOoOo

"I don't get it. Why couldn't Jo end up with Laurie or at least not have him and Jo's younger sister be the endgame. Jo came to her senses eventually. " Ethan said. The sand was scorching his back, but it oddly felt good. His bare skin touching the sand reminding him how free he felt when he was with her.

Emma was on her stomach catching some sun while they talked about Little Women. She had no idea he was a musical enthusiast like she was. It all started when she made an off handed comment about how one of his co-stars was in her favorite Broadway show, and their love for theatre spiraled from there.

" Yes, but only when she noticed life was passing her by did she finally come to her senses. She needed the reality check to snap her out of her set mind. I agree though, Amy ending up with Laurie was a little weird." Emma said. Her head was rested on her folded arms and she squinted her eyes to get a better look at Ethan. "You shipped them didn't you." Emma teased.

"Pshh no." Ethan said averting his gaze, looking everywhere except at her. A guilty smile slowly spread across his face, "Let's just say my stomach dropped when they said Laurie accidentally ran into Amy and her aunt. I've read enough scripts to know what they're foreshadowing."

"You are such a sweetheart." Emma said.

Ethan blushed and changed the subject," Do you need more sunscreen on your back?"

"I think that defeats the purpose of a tan Ethan." Emma said.

"But what a great excuse to have my hands on you." Ethan smirked making a blush travel from her cheeks and down her body giving her a flushed appearance. "Are you that embarrassed or do you have a sunburn already." Ethan teased.

Emma shifted uncomfortably and buried her face in her arms refusing to meet his eyes. "I thought these conversations stayed in the bedroom." Emma muttered.

His fingers lightly traced her back, leaving goosebumps in his way. He didn't miss the slight shiver she made when he passed the dip in her lower back. "You can't blame me for thinking of you like that." He leaned in to whisper in her ear, "Especially with how responsive you were last night."He purred.

Emma flipped on her back, "You make it sound like we slept together." She scoffed regaining her composure. Emma glared at him, "Keep it up and that's the only night you'll remember for a long time."

"I'm only teasing." Ethan said. "I'm just happy where we are."

"In Hawaii?" Emma asked.

"No where you and I are in our relationship. It makes me feel-" A high squeal interrupted them.
