i opened the white front door of our house, and threw my sneakers off my feet as usual.

i got rid off my bag to be able to take my jacket off as well. i had been slightly sweating on the way home on that warm day, and it was even hotter on the bus. i got my phone out of my pocket though, and checked the time.

i moaned as i was walking to the living room and thought what i was going to do until the evening, when it popped into my head how many tests there were going to be in the following few weeks as the end of the school year was coming closer and closer, not to mention the spring break.

i was trying to become resigned to the idea of sitting and studying in my room while i was walking on the wooden parquet until i reached the kitchen. i stood in front of the fridge thoughtful; but at the end, i finally ended up grabbing an apple and a greek yoghurt. i left the kitchen and walked up to the dining table and put my stuff down.

while i was going back to the kitchen for a spoon, i raised my phone in my hand and unlocked it, watching as a couple of notifications popped up on the screen.

as my eyes wandered to the tiny battery sign which was currently in red, i felt a few vibrations that my mobile made.

i quickly got a spoon from the kitchen drawer and bounced back to the table, humming 'mr. brightside' by the killers. that song came into my mind time after time and would stay there for days.

i sat down and opened my messenger, as i usually did first. my latest message was in the football groupchat, where i entered immediately.

i took a bite of my apple, while i rolled up to the top of the new messages. i soon realised that they were discussing a match that aidan's, george's, kaity's and jace's school played with an another team from oxford. they also mentioned that it was rumoured that there was a possibility that we would play with them around the end of june.

not going to lie, i rolled down until the messages i could understand and that were more likely to be about a stable subject.

i giggled a few times at the memes they sent in and the usual quarrel between them, when something caught my eyes.

i rolled back to the text and after the second reading, i furrowed my eyebrows and sighed.

"george" i whispered helplessly.

he claimed he wasn't coming to practise the next day.

i went out of the groupchat and opened my direct messages with him; where was also a few new texts.

after i scanned it and appointed that it wasn't a question that i could answer, i wrote a teary eyed emoji from characters.

i looked at my text for a few seconds, then put my phone down on the table next to me and looked in front of me.

i opened the yoghurt's cover, then put the spoon inside and mixed it a few times before i ate a spoonful of it.

i turned around and looked out of the window right behind me, only to have strong light on my face and eyes, and after a few painfully long blinks, i dragged my sight around the golden sunshine flooded outside world.

beside the back neighbour's house that was super close to ours, i saw a bluest of skies from around that time. there was a big tree over the garage's roof, and the good old pylons overmounting everything below them.
