Sinclair POV

She was there and then she was gone. I tried desperately to reach to her, to touch her but I couldn't. I could feel her touch on my skin, sparks flowing everywhere she touched, but my hands went right through her.

She looked tired as ever, but beautiful none the less. She was wearing silk pajamas, her brown skin glowing more than usual and no doubt the cause was the huge belly that she was carrying around. Her dark eyes locked with our beast's and that was all it took for all the rage to disappear.

A small smile adjourned her features as she touched our cheek, her white wings spread behind her making her look even more angelic than normal and then like a flash of light she was gone. I'd never felt so weak in my life as I fell to my knees, tears streaming down my face. I didn't care that everyone was watching me or that I was surrounded by the havoc I had reeked in the past few days. In that very moment I felt helpless, I felt useless and I felt lost.

All of this happened because of what? Jealousy, greed. Like that my rage returned, only this time I had a target.

No one dared get in Sinclair way as his eyes morphed back to their inky black and he rose into the sky. His dark wings flapping behind him as he soared to one place and one place only. The dungeon.

Kendra laid on the floor of her cell, completely clueless to what was coming her way. Her hair was matted, her eyes were bloodshot and her throat was soar from screaming. She'd screamed since she was put down there, waiting for Sinclair to come to his senses and let her out. Especially now that, that bitch was dead and gone.

She remembers the pure ecstasy that run through her body hearing that sword tear through Kida's flesh. Her body was battered and she was drowning in pain, but in that moment she was the happiest she'd ever been. Then she woke up in a cell.

"The Prince says you've murdered the queen and you're time will come soon" a guard had told her before leaving her all alone down there, in the dark, blood splattered cell that stank of mold and rust with a deadly feeling warping through the air.

She'd recorded how long she was down there with strokes. Six months, she'd screamed and cried and begged for six months but no one ever came unless it was to give her scraps. She'd thought everyone had forgotten about her.

Until now....

Her time had come.

All she heard was a whoosh, before her body was slammed to the wall. Her cell door, laying on the floor sending a loud bang through the room. A hand wrapped around her throat, long claws digging into her flesh as she gasped for air.

"You" a demonic voice spoke ever so calmly as she looked eyes with Sinclair's inky pools. In that very moment nothing but fear ran through her body.

"Sinclair. I-"

"Don't speak!" a terrifying crack, sounded through the air as Kendra was slammed to the floor of her cell, making a scream rip from her soar throat.

"You conspired with my mother the person I hate most to take my mate from me"

He ran up claw up her stomach, starting from her belly button, ever so slowly, purposely breaking the skin and sending sizzling pain through Kendra's body. She tried desperately, to scream, to move, but something was holding her in place.

"You have the audacity to take her body and fool me into thinking you were here. Manipulating me, confusing me"

With precision he laced his hand through her separated skin, a sqelshing sound sounding through the room as his hand grabbed a hold of her literal still beating heart.

"And then you have the nerve to shove a sword through her. Almost killing her, and my child"

My child? In that moment the pain that Sinclair was putting her under physically didn't hurt more than what she felt hearing that. Every nerve, every muscle in her body was hyper aware and hyper active. She felt like she was engulfed in flames, her skin sizzling off and burning, melting. But it didn't match what she felt.

"And for that you're going to suffer"

She choked when she felt Sinclair begin to squeeze, her eyes rolled back and she struggled to breath, move, function as endless agony surged through her body. She was engulfed in it, endless anguish as the love of her life literally crushed her heart.

Then everything went dead. There was no light. There was no last gasp of air. The last thing she saw was Sinclair, holding her none beating heart.
