The Alpha's Mate

Chapter:1

~Shaylee's P.O.V~

I am Shaylee Black,but I prefer just Shay. My father and mother were both born from Alphas. Everyone in my family for the past four generations have been pure Alpha. I take pride in my trait. It gives me fighting advantages. Not to brag,but I'm a great fighter. My trainer even bumped me up to fight with the 14-16 year old boys. My dad won't let me go to my age group in the boys section,because he thinks I'll get hurt,but I've already kicked all their asses for whistling and trying to flirt. I turn 18 in two day. Today is Thursday and I graduate high school on Friday. I go to an all wolf school,it has it's pros and cons,but I get more intense physical education. We invited the neighboring pack to my party,so that not only I,but my other pack members would have a better chance of finding their mates.

I grabbed my back pack and walked down the stairs of the pack house.

"Bye." I called out as I grabbed my car keys and walked out the door.

I went the same route to school,like I always do. I pulled into a parking space and climbed out of the car. My friends,Jennifer and Alexis,met me half way. Jennifer turns 18 in two months and Alexis turns 18 in next year,she as a late birthday.

"Aren't you so excited?" Alexis squealed.

"I guess." I giggled shaking my head.

"You'll be able to find your mate!" Jennifer gushed.

"Yeah,okay,but he could be a prick that treats me like shit and doesn't let me hang out with my friends." I smirked.

"We all know that would never happen." Alexis scoffed.

"Alexis can't go a day with out talking to you." Jennifer smiled.

"Your the only person Jennifer talks to about her boy troubles." Alexis stated matter a factly.

I giggled and shook my head as we walked into first period. That class we just goof off in,because the teacher is old and we blame the jocks. It's actually really funny. Second period it's just me and Jennifer. Third is just me and Alexis. Fourth and fifth we are all split up. We also have lunch together and then sixth period is all of us.

-after school at the pack house-

I plopped down on my bed and thought of what my mate would be like. Would he be an Alpha? Would he have pretty eyes? Would he be overprotective and possessive? Would he accept me? Would he even be a he? I shoved the thoughts out of my mind,not wanting to stress my self out. I changed into running shorts and a tank top,before I trotted down the stairs. I walked out side and headed for the trail in the woods. I jogged on the trail until I got to the waterfall that I always stop at. I sat down and pulled my shoes off before I dipped my feet into the cool water. I closed my eyes and listened to the trickling water,until a twig snapped and I instantly snapped my eyes open,on high alert.

On the other side of the stream stood a werewolf probably the Alpha of the other pack. We made eye contact and my wolf hummed with appreciation. Weird,I thought. Another wolf a few inches shorter than the big black on,more than likely his Beta came and stood next to him. The Beta growled at me and the black wolf snapped and snarled at him. As they stood,probably mind linking, I slowly stood and pulled my shoes on. I turned around and briskly walked back to the pack house,up the stairs,and into my room. I sigh as I pressed my back to the door.

I don't know why,but I was filled with loneliness and longing. The black wolf had the pretties blue eyes. They say that mates have the same eye color,like my mom and dad both have blue eyes. My dad as dark blue eyes,but my mom's are light blue. Sometimes they're the exact same shade.

I took a quick shower and put on pajamas,before I got into bed. I laid thinking of the wolf I had seen in the woods,until I reluctantly fell asleep.

______________________________________________________ sorry it's late but I had to go get contacts today,so I wouldn't walk around blind and run into a pole. Anyways the next chapter is short because I suck at writing in a guys P.O.V so.....
