CHAPTER 5

         It has been two days and no good news has

come out of their lives pertaining to their father

and husband's illness they tried all their possible

best to see that they get a help from people but all to no avail.

The news of gazali's father being ill soon got to

him and he was happy not because his father was

in this condition and his family members have

not being theirselves but he believed and hope

that this is the actual time he would help his sick

father,he arrived at the hospital after a long

journey from Kano to their rural town in

potiskum Maiduguri he didn't bother to branch

their house he just went straight to the hospital

and asked the nurse on duty to see the doctor he

met the doctor all went well even though he

didn't have the complete money he was sure the

little he had would go a long way.
            

      After he deposited a sum of thirty thousand

naira the doctor still told him that he hasn't done

anything but at least he has paid some part of the

fees,now he was on his way to his father's

hospital room after he opened the door he found

out that he was awake so he greeted him even

though he wouldn't answer well he made sure he

respected him  he was standing  smiling

to himself before he said  baba don't worry too much

we would surely pay for the bills as it is right now

I deposited some amount and hopefully we

would finish the payment before you are discharg......

shut the hell up don't tell me you gave this

hospital money  or are you playing  pranks on me

nooo I dare not just that I wanted to inform you

of the new development baba I have already paid

one quarter of the bill this time his voice was loud

enough and people in the next room and around

the hospital premises thought snake has bitten

him again before he told tashi ka bachemin for

Godsake he should have consulted him or at least

talked to him before he should go ahead and

make those payments now what kind of

treatment have they given to him that would

warrant such huge sum of money,he didn't think

twice he just rushed towards the cashier section

even though he was leaping real hard that can be taken care of  later.
