CHAPTER 6

Mal.Abu has not being himself since what

happened yesterday he thought the headache,

severe body pain most especially the leg he had

injury on would have reduced after he had his

sleep well reverse was the case he wasn't able to

sleep till this morning,immediately after the

congregational prayer which he didn't attend he

went straight to malam kaya's house he is a

traditional doctor Who knows how to handle his

patients real good but has one thing he those not

know what family or friends is called when it

comes to business,and for this two to be in the

same place we all smell trouble even if it has not

happened yet mal. Abu just wished that

absolutely everything in this world was free and

he has pounder over for only God knows how

long.

At kaya's resident he was directed and given

instructions on how to make use of the medicine

he would be given he was so happy at least this

pain would go away and his wound that has open

up would eventually dry off and in no time he

would be his old self.

He has started getting better with no pain just

the wound that was remaining to dry up he was

at the entrance of his house enjoying the cool

breeze of the evening when Kaya was passing by

his house and saw him he was happy he has seen

the human tortoise after a long time he had

made countless visits and he was always not at

home he didn't think twice meaning what he

was going to do at that time can wait but right

now he seriously needs to handle Abu so he

tiptoed till he was right next to him before he said

haka mukayi he was settled for some seconds

before he said I wanted to he cut him shut don't

just lie to me it been two weeks since I gave you

the medicine but you never returned as

promised all your family members do is give

excuses each time I see any of them and let me

tell you what you don't know the herbal leaves I

gave you were just painkillers I was thinking that

since you are in this condition you would surely

come to me for aid but that was not it,it was

know he knew the reason why his wound has not

dried up and their where complications that

means he has to stop using those herbs kaya

refused to leave until he was offered something

he just gave him half tuber of yam and said he

would come and pay when he sells his farm

produce.

Everything was fine in his household and each

one of them was happy because since the

incident they always eat to their satisfaction and

dama he didn't know of their hidden stolen food

mission the most interesting part was they lived

their lives and he lives hes.
He started experiencing some changes in his

body especially his legs it has swollen more than

the normal size so he thought it was because he

doesn't stroll again he took it upon himself to

stroll but he made it out carefully he was not able

to come back himself he was brought home by

some youth that so because they felt the way he

was wailing and screaming in pain he actually

needed help.As they arrived his home it was one

of his wives that saw him she quickly screamed

making the rest to come over and see why she

was this frightened.

From that day onward he could not do anything

by himself meaning the left side of his body was

totally paralyzed making it very difficult to move

the right which was weak the only thing he those

was stare into space and he couldn't utter any

thing,he became a living dead man as old age

and the sickness has taken troll over his life.
His family members had no option but to take

him to the hospital at the hospital they were

reluctant at first to admit him but their main aim

their was to actually save lives after deliberating

and signing of agreements that they would pay

for their hospital and other necessary bills he was

attended to which started from laboratory test to

know if he had any other diseases or it was just

this stroke,the test was out in no time and he had

typhoid fever so they swung into action it was

tough at first but after a week of the treatment

he was really responding to treatment but their

major people this time was still the money so

they called Gazali and this time he shouldn't

bother coming he should just send whatever he

has to avoid trouble,he was worried but since

they told him everything was under control he

was a bit relieved all he those was that he kept in

touch with them all the time and they always

inform him of any new development.
