Chapter 7

After Jisung and I washed the dishes, the boys came downstairs. We all sat on the massive couch in the sitting room talking in an attempt to get to know each other better because what we knew about each other was what information we let on the Internet about ourselves. We decided to play 21 questions.

After all the boys had their turns to be questioned, it was my turn. They all turned to me and started asking me questions. For example, they asked what my favourite colour was, which is anything pastel by the way, they asked what my favorite song was, what type of movies I liked and I answered them all truthfully.

They asked me a lot more questions and then it was the last question. They were all thinking about what to ask when Renjun asked what America was like. The smile on my face altered slightly because I remembered what happened and why we had to move to Korea in the first place. After a small pause I decided to answer.

"America was great, I made loads of friends while I was there but just before my move to Korea, everything changed and because we now live with each other I want to tell you guys now rather than later."

All of the boys looked worried and Jeno spoke up saying that if I didn't want to tell them about it they'd understand but I told him that it's fine and that I trust them. I then started to speak about why we moved to Korea.

"Basically, my dad got very sick. One day he was fine and the next day he collapsed in front of me and my mom. We called down my older brothers and they lifted my dad into the car and we drove to the hospital together. Turns out, he had stage 4 colon cancer and was given two weeks to live. My family and I were heartbroken and spent those two weeks in the hospital to make sure he was as comfortable as possible. Two weeks later, he died and my mother couldn't financially support all of us by herself so we had to move to Korea. That's when I took up singing and dancing as a passion. That was when I was 14"

When I finished talking I looked at the boys with tears in my eyes. That was my first time telling someone other than Kiera. They all had tears in their eyes too and when I looked up at them, they immediately ran to me and pulled me into a group hug. That's when tears started to slowly fall from my eyes. After them hugging me for like 5 minutes, I stopped crying and they let go. They all made sure I was ok and asked if I wanted to do something fun to take my mind off of things so I agreed and they put on Mario Kart. We all had a go racing each other and all I'm saying is, I won the majority of the races.

After a few races, I checked the time and saw that it was 6pm so I asked the boys if they wanted dinner and they said yes so I started to cook for them.

After dinner Jisung offered to help me again but I told him to just go to his room and relax and he did what he was told. I told the rest of the boys to do the same and when they got to their rooms, I put some music on my phone and sang along while doing the dishes.

After I finished the dishes I went to my room and decided to call my mom and see how's she's doing.

We talked for about an hour, and I heard Jaemin yell my name from the sitting room and told my mom that I had to go. We said our bye's and I love you's and I hung up.

I went to the sitting room to ask what they wanted when I saw that they had made a massive pillow and blanket fort and had loads of sweets and crisps.

"Holy crap, when and why did you guys do this?" I asked them. "Oh hey Areum, we did this while you were in your room and we did it for you because we wanted to cheer you up about what you told us earlier, we're going to watch a horror movie because you said that it was your favourite type of movie" Jaemin replied to me. I felt like I was going to cry. I couldn't believe that they did this for me.

"Oh my God, guys! You didn't need to do this for me!!"
"Yes we did! Now come and watch the movie with us!!"

So I did exactly that. We watched a really scary movie and whenever there was a scary bit, Chenle would cuddle into Jisung which I found utterly adorable.

When we finished the movie I hugged all of the guys and said thank you to them and we all went off to bed as it was like 11pm and we have rehearsal tomorrow.

I'm really glad that our managers decided to do this reality show. Even though it's only been a day I feel like I already trust these boys and I feel like we've all gotten really close. I'm so happy. This is most happy that I've been in a while.
