Idol Life~ NCT Haechan

Chapter 13

Areum woke up that night at 4am from a horrible nightmare. She immediately started sobbing while hugging the teddy bear that her dad gave her before he passed away. She couldn't stop thinking about the nightmare.

Areum was back home with her mom and her dad. "Dad! You're alive! How is this possible?" Areum said as she went to hug him but he dodged her attempt. "Dad?"  Areum called out to him with tears in her eyes. " You were never a daughter of mine, you're a disgrace" Her 'dad' told Areum. Areum was full blown sobbing in her dream. "What do you mean dad? You said that you were proud of me, why are you doing this?" Areum shouted to him. Her dad then started to fade away. "Wait! No! Dad, don't leave me!!"  Areum screamed out into the abyss after her dad disappeared. 

Areum couldn't go back to sleep after her dream so she went to the balcony at the end of the hallway by Donghyuck and Renjun's room. When she got out onto the balcony, she took a seat on the couch that was out there and wrapped a blanket around her. She was still crying and whimpering as she was staring out at the night sky in front of her. 

Donghyuck's P.O.V

I woke up to the sound of someone walking down past my room and walking out to the balcony. I checked the time at saw that it was 4am and went to check on whoever it was. As I was getting closer to the already opened door to the balcony I could hear someone whimpering and sniffling as if they were crying. I quickly walked out onto the balcony and I saw Areum staring out at the night sky and there were tears running down her face. She still hadn't noticed me. "Ari? Are you alright?" I called out to her. She jumped and turned her head towards me. When she realized that it was me, she jumped of the couch and ran and hugged me. I was in shock but when I heard her sobbing, I put my arms around her and guided her to the couch. I was stroking her hair to hopefully calm her down. She then pulled away from me and I asked if she was ok with telling me what was wrong with her. She nodded and began to speak.

Nobody's P.O.V 

Areum started telling Donghyuck the contents of her nightmare. She tried her best to keep herself together while she was telling the story, though a few stray tears ended up rolling down her face. Areum's voice was wavering while she was telling the story, she felt as it she was reliving the events of her dream. 

When she finished telling the story, she burst into tears again but Donghyuck pulled her into his arms once again. He was rubbing circles on her back while comforting her. Donghyuck was telling her comforting phrases like "It's alright, I'm here" and "Don't worry, it was just a dream. Your dad would be proud of the person that you have become".

Donghyuck eventually heard the light snores coming from Areum. He then realized how cold it was out on the balcony so he carefully picked up Areum and walked to her room. He layed her on her bed and went to leave but felt a small hand hold on to his. He turned around to see Areum barely awake, looking up at him. "Please stay with me Hyuckie" Areum pleaded. Donghyuck agreed, getting into bed beside her. She cuddled up to him and he placed his hands around her waist. The two of them fell asleep in each others arms.

The next morning, Areum could feel someone's arms around her. She then recalled the events of last night and smiled to herself. She then heard giggling and talking in her room so she opened her eyes and saw all the dreamies looking at her and Donghyuck and giggling to themselves while taking pictures of the Areum and Donghyuck. 

Once Aruem realized this, she quickly jumped out of bed and started chasing the boys around the house. They boys ran away from while screaming their apologies. Donghyuck woke up to the sound of screaming and went to investigate and saw Areum chasing Jisung, a boy about double her height and he was cowering away from her. Donghyuck laughed at the sight and then went to help Jisung.

Once everyone had settled down, Areum offered to cook them breakfast. The boys cheered and off she went to the kitchen and started to cook some breakfast. When she was done, all eight of the people who lived in the house sat around the table and ate the lovely breakfast the Areum had cooked for them. 

When everyone was finished breakfast, they went up to get ready for the day. Areum did her morning routine before putting on black Nike shorts, a white crop top and a pair of black Nike shoes. 

After everyone finished getting ready, they all headed off to SM Entertainment.
