Chapter 1

*Areum P.O.V*

I can't believe I'm finally debuting today! I've been working my ass off for the past four years and it's finally paid off. I'm debuting with my new song 'Wings'. I wrote and composed this song about how much music has helped me get through so many tough times.

I'm so nervous! I'm performing pretty soon and I'm freaking out. Because of me training for four years, I made friends with some of the SM groups. For example EXO and Red Velvet. When I met them it was surreal. I listened to their music growing up and now I'm friends with them. My best friends are Irene and Baekhyun though. I grew closest to them.

Red Velvet are performing here as well because of their recent comeback and right now they're calming my nerves.

"You'll be fine Areum!" Irene told me. "We know how hard you worked for this moment, you'll do so well". I fiddled with hem of my black skirt. "It's normal to be nervous, we were as well when we debuted" Yeri told me. "You're right, I have nothing to be worried about". Just as I said that, I was told that I would be going and performing next. I was told to be near the stage so I had to leave the girls and go to the stage. They wished me luck and left to their dressing room.

When I got to the stage I was shitting a brick. I heard the last notes of "Run Away" By TXT and then I was given my cue to go on stage.

When I was on stage and the music started, it was like I was in my element. I was dancing and singing my heart out to my song and the crowd were singing with me.

I got off stage and was bombarded by Red Velvet giving me hugs and saying "congratulations" and "you were amazing". I was ecstatic! I can't believe I just performed for the first time.

While we were walking to my dressing room, so many idols that I had looked up to growing up were congratulating me and telling me that I did well. It all felt like a dream, I couldn't believe it.

I got back home that evening and I called my mom, she said that she watched my whole performance and that I did amazing. She said that she was so proud of me, it made me realize how much I missed her.

I didn't realize how tired I was until my head hit the pillow, I was asleep in seconds. Today was truly the best day of my life!
