Xavier's POV

My sharp canines sunk into her soft flesh, easily finding the perfect spot where her body was made for my touch. My toxins instantly attacked her system, strengthening our bond and putting my claim over her. Finally I could feel her soul merging with mine, and it made my wolf howl with joy as I connected myself to her for eternity.

I could taste her blood in my mouth, sweet like nectar. I tried being soft, not wanting to hurt her in any way, but it was hard when she was struggling against my hold. Luckily I could already feel her weakening as the toxins kicked in. Right now they were aligning our wolf and human spirits together, and as our hearts pounded as one, I felt an immense power roll through my body. I finally had my mate, my Luna, and now, with her by my side, I would be unstoppable.

My mate gave one last shake, until I felt her body start to relax as the bond took over. I softly released her neck, letting her wolf's body lay on the ground at my feet as she passed out from the intense bond that only comes with being an Alpha. I gently licked my mark on her neck, proud that it would be permanent, letting any other unmated males know that she was mine and mine only.

Just the thought of another male touching her made my vision go red and my chest burn with anger. I would protect her, I would be the one to keep her safe, and I would be the one to give her the life of a Luna. After all, she was my Mate, the missing part of me, the future mother of my pups, and I wasn't going to ever let her go.

Once I had gotten my mate safely back to my packs house, I felt myself become restless. At the minute she was in my.... No, our room. The elder women of the pack had the job of bringing my mate back to her human form, and watching over her when she awoke.

All I could do was pace just outside of the door worriedly, chewing my lip in annoyance of how slow this was taking for my mate to wake up. I was practically drowning in my thoughts of what could be going wrong, and although I was afraid the elders might harm my mate, a part of me knew they would be kind to her, just as they had been to me when I was a pup.

I could feel my human conscious slip to my wolves thoughts, quickly building anger and lack of patience. I had to multiple times shake my head to get rid of his unhelpful comments that only made me worry more.
"Go to her, she is your mate. She could be hurt, she needs us. Plus we should be the first thing she sees when she wakes up." He says and I mentally snap back, "Would you just shut up! She's fine, and I don't think she's going to be very excited to see me, after all, her last memory is of us practically attacking her. If there's anything I've learned about her is that she's a fighter, and I have a feeling she'll put one up." I say annoyed.

"She should not act disrespectfully towards us. She should obey our command, no matter what. You have to teach her to listen and follow orders." Snapped my wolf, but I just rolled my eyes at his dominate and controlling personality. Many people think I am exactly that, dominating and controlling, and I am, but I partly blame my wolf for the influence.

"I can't just stand here doing nothing. I need to go for a run." I say to myself, and instantly I feel my wolf perk up at the thought to let loose.

Notifying my Beta through the pack mind link, I tell him to keep an eye on my room, and if anything is to go wrong, he should report back to me immediately.
"Yes Alpha." He replies back instantly, and once he comes to stand guard at the door, I take my leave.

"Run Run Run!" Chants my wolf, and I easily comply as I reach the woods and shift into the beast that is the core image of nightmares. I let out a loud and ground shaking howl, happy when birds flutter out of the tree tops, scared out of their wits.

The fresh woodland air fills my lungs, and I can't help but be proud of the location of my pack, high up in the mountains laid within a dip near a clean flowing river. We are well hidden, and it's the perfect place for us to not get caught by other packs. "Not that there are many packs left to fight us." Says my wolf. I mentally agree with him.

These past few years, my pack and I have been taking over territories from old packs, but they deserve it. Those packs were weak, and most of them had lost that bond between human and wolf. Their old ways were waisting away, and my pack of rouges and I helped them and everyone else by getting rid of them. Of course stories have been told about the bloody battles that follow us wherever we go, but I like it when fear settles upon my enemies, let them know we are a force to be reckoned with.

Suddenly I feel a tighten in my chest. My wolf gives a growl just as my beta calls me through the pack link.
"She's awake."
