Jim’s POV

I hated Blade, I hated his job, I hated the fact he hides his face from everyone but most of all I hated the fact he’s ‘best’ friends with my brother who just ‘mysteriously’ happens to disappear after he’s hung around with him. But if Blade does know where he’s going to find Todd that’s fine with me. Todd is the last person I truly care about other than my love Leah, he’s the only person who’s really there for me when I’m down and he always has been, I can’t lose him now, not after everything we’ve been through. I took another deep breath to let all my feelings drain away, they can’t hold me down yet.

I followed Blade along the train tracks, noticing we were following a trail of dark, sticky, red blood. We followed it for what seemed like hours until the trail ended at an old broken down house which still seemed to have people living in it, with fresh green grass and a blooming garden surrounding it. I looked at Blade nervously, what if this was a random criminals house? What if it’s all a trap? I didn’t trust Blade one bit, and I wasn’t intending to stay with him so long. “Are you sure we’re in the right place?” I mumbled quietly in case someone else could hear. Blade nodded, I couldn’t tell his emotions because of the boring mask on his face, how could I tell he was lying? I sighed because I was sick of waiting around, what was he waiting for anyways? I looked back at Blade and huffed before making his way up to the not-so-abandoned house. I heard Blade picking up his pace behind me,

“Wait! Stop you fucking idiot, this could be a trap for all we know” I felt him grab me by my shoulder and pull me away from the house. I felt the anger build up in me and trust me, I’ve never been angry before. I shrugged his hand off my shoulder and looked forward, yet again waiting for Blade to make his move.

???’s POV

I glanced out of the window from the kitchen, two older men were standing in front of the house. I gulped and wrapped up my already bandaged hands and walked outside, “D-Do you two need anything…?” I asked, making them jump a little. A man wearing a mask looked as if he was looking at me, the other with the goggles looked at me with a frown. “U-um, a…are you guys just going to stand t-there?” I stuttered, I hate stuttering, but I can’t help it sometimes. I guess I’m not as brave as I used to be. I backed away slowly and the masked man walked up to me,

“Why was there a blood trail leading this way? Why is it all pointing to you, kid?” The man asked in an angry tone. I looked up at his almost blank mask and blurted out,

“S-show a little respect h... hey? T-that blood trail is from the g-guy that just k…killed my friend!” My whole body shook and I turned away from the masked man, why was he forcing information out of me? The masked man backed away and looked at the other man, the goggles man glared at the other and began to shiver a little bit, his eyes tearing up. “P-please just l…leave my property you meanies…” I whimpered and they both turned away and left.

As soon as they were out of sight, I headed back inside and immediately headed towards the basement. A dark hall way decorated with steel cuffs and chains was painted in thick blood. I looked at the labels on each door: Torture, Experiments, Cells and Body Bank. I pulled a doctors mask over my mouth and nose, the stench hurt my senses and made tears prick at my stinging eyes. I entered the room labelled ‘Torture’ and coughed. The smell was unbelievably vile, I felt like I would puke at any moment. A man stood before the chained up body of their most recent ‘customer’ with a large smirk on his face. “M…Master?” I choked out, coughing more as the air I breathed in punched my lungs. The man looked aside to me and waited for an answer. “T-the two men arrived and I managed to…to persuade them nothing’s going on here…” The man grinned and chuckled,

“Good work Jay… You never know, if this boy wakes up soon you may be able to share the fun.” He laughed yet again. I looked at him and smiled nervously under the doctor’s mask, nodding before heading back upstairs. I knew that my master was a monster, but I knew he was doing his job. I wiped my blood stained shoes on the rug before breathing the fresh air again.

I smiled a little, feeling much better after all the stressful work had been done but something didn’t feel right. I looked around and everything seemed fine, everything was tidy, all was clean and- the door! I ran towards the door as quickly as I could and locked it, sighing with relief until I felt a sharp, cold, blade being held at my throat.

“Give up kid…Where is he?”

I winced and closed my eyes tightly. Shit…They tricked us...
