Todd’s POV

I groaned in pain as I groggily opened my eyes. The room spun around me as I began to regain consciousness. What the hell happened to me? My sight was blurry and my body was numb. ‘Something bad happened for sure…’ I thought to myself. Whenever I’m happy I have the worst of luck, I guess I’m just a super unlucky guy. I breathed in, the air around me almost making me choke, it was thick and the taste was metallic, like blood. I blinked, trying to stop the room from spinning around me, that’s when I felt the senses kicking back in. The room has so many different smells it was horrifying to experience. Once I blinked again, the room stopped spinning and I saw someone standing in front of me, his dark blue hair covering his eyes. He seemed so familiar, but I still couldn’t remember who he was and how I knew him. I turned my head away from him and looked around the room, gasping as I saw the horror. Thick, fresh blood dripped from the walls and limbs laid on the floor next to me, I was in what looked like a cell but a lot bigger and much scarier…and much darker. I felt my body begin to uncontrollably shiver as I saw a messy dark rack full of dangling, bloody, sharp items.

I tried to rub my wrists like I normally do when I’m worried or scared, but I looked up and saw the chained cuffs on my wrists, they were really fucking tight. I tugged on them. “Fuck there’s no way I’m getting out of this…” I mumbled to myself, half forgetting there was someone in front of me. I glanced at the man and gasped, I saw his burnt amber eyes glare down at me with a smirk on his face.

“Took your time didn’t you?” he chuckled quietly. I leaned on the blood soaked wall behind me and bit my lip, ‘I know him…’ I thought as his glowing eyes were covered by his blue fringe. “Hm… Don’t tell me you don’t remember me…” He sighed and looked at the rack of bloody weapons, picking up a knife and placing it back after playing around with it. I watched, still trying to find a name until something clicked in my head. Memories of a day, a place which I’ve wanted to forget for so long, flooded in. I accidentally let out a quiet whimper as I remembered, making the man’s smirk turn into a grin. “Of course you remember me. Who wouldn’t remember the guy who ruined their life ten years ago?” He turned back to me and crouched down next to my numb body. “Rex, the boy who set flames to the Cog mansion.” He chuckled and took out a lighter making me back away from him for safety, of course there’s nowhere safe here. He watched the flame which brought out the colour of his already insanely bright eyes. “I kept this by my side to remember how much damage I did. Hm, who knew one little flame could kill two families and set a street on fire. I call that an achievement…” He looked back at me and chuckled. My body was shivering, I was sitting in front of the person who killed my parents… Nearly me and my brother in the process too.

“W…What do you want from me Rex? Haven’t you done enough to me?” I stuttered, tugging on the chained cuffs again. ‘I want to go home now… I’m scared… I’m sorry…’ The thoughts in my mind began to race around as I felt myself shivering more and more.

“Let’s just say I made a deal with someone, I get the money if I kill you. But I’m going to have a little bit of fun first…” He smirked and he stood up and went over to the rack again. ‘Fun…?’ I asked myself before seeing him pick up a needle and a blade. I shook my head and frantically tugged on the chains, this wasn’t going to be good…
