Chapter 19

"Luke,  my brother " I replied.

"Oh " he mouthed as he stood up from where he had perched at the edge of the table.

I got up and kept my books away.

"Well, you are gonna be telling me about him, but first we are going downstairs cos I have a feeling if I leave you here then you won't come down" he stated as he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the door.

I just smiled realising how true that was, I really wasn't planning on going down anytime soon.

"Let me guess, you would have picked up one of those novels on your table, most likely that purple coloured one " he said as we stepped out of the room and I closed the door behind us.

"What's the name ? I've seen you reading it around, something about kiss " he said pulling his mouth into a smirk while looking at me.

"Its the widow's kiss" I blushed as he looked at me and walked down only to be stopped by his hold on my hand, making me realise he was still holding me.

I tugged and he stepped closer,

"Let's go" he whispered softly and smirked, his breath fanning my ears and my heart going through a mini seizure.

This time, he had to pull me down the stairs as my legs refused to moved on their own.

On getting down and entering the kitchen, we met the girls bustling around then Suzy's eyes caught mine.

"There you are !" She exclaimed as she returned something into the fridge, making Kate and Maggie turn around.

"Why's your fridge empty ?" Kate complained.

"Ummm... that's because ....." I began to say but ran out of excuse.

I had totally forgotten to restock after running out and that's because I was constantly ordering pizza or takeouts, all thanks to macho man standing behind me.

"We ate a lot, I guess " Dylan shrugged as he pulled me towards the island.

And he still got my hand.

Oh shit!

Suzy noticed.

"Yeah, right " I nodded while avoiding Suzy's stare.

Wait......

What ?

Did he say "we" ?

"So you two finish everything and didn't  think  to buy more ?" Kate shook her head while she filled the cups in front of her with juice.

Suzy kept staring ...

And...

Smirking ...

At our interwined hands.

While Dylan ignored both the look and my attempt to remove my hand.

I just blinked while Dylan smiled at them.

"Here " Kate handed over to us our cups filled with juice.

"Dylan, pls don't let her go back up " Maggie warned squinting at me as if I would run away.

"As if I was planning to " I huffed as he again pulled me out of the kitchen into the yard where the pool was located.

Taking a seat on the lounge chair where I have decided to spend the rest of the evening.

Dylan finally let go of my hand to go greet the guys.

"Where are they ?" Ryan asked as he walked over to me.
