Indigo always loved the ocean. She would sit on this one rock for hours and watch the water. She would mostly think about her mother and her love for blue color. That's why her name is Indigo and funny thing is that her last name was Blue. Indigo Blue. She would always laugh at it. She thought it was funny. But she also loved it even if it was so hard to convince people that it's her actual name. Her name was special to her because her mother gave it to her. Her mother died few years ago while cruising. They never found her body. Most people would hate places where their loved ones disappeared, but not Indigo. She wasn't that type. She knew her mother was somewhere there and that's why she loved the ocean even more. She would even talk to the ocean, like she used to talk with her mother. Her close friends knew about it. She was never ashamed of it. They thought she'd never get over it because of how close she was with her mother. At first they couldn't believe how open she was about it. She talked about her mother's death so easily. And when she told them about hers, not so little secret, they were amazed. The fact is that she has never actually been hurt by it. Yes, she was sad, not hurt. She knew her mother was in a better place now and that she was taking care of her. She believed that everything was happening for a reason.
"I promised dad that we'll have a movie night, and he was so happy."
She smiled throwing one small rock in the water.
"You know, I rarely see him smiling nowadays."
Her smile faded. Her father barely laughed after her mother's death. He was never that loud, funny man, but he was definitely happier. He even stopped going out. Movie night at home was Indigo's only option.
"I miss my happy dad."
She remembered all the time she would spend with him when she was younger.
"I remember one time we scared you so much that you didn't want to talk to us the rest of the day."
Smile was on her face again as she remembered the good old days. She looked at her wristwatch that used to be her mother's.
"I should probably go now. Love you mum."
...
"Dad I'm home!" Indigo yelled as she walked into the house.
"In the kitchen." was his answer.
A huge smile appeared on her face when she saw all the cookies her father baked.
"Dad you made cookies."
"Your favorite ones my love."
She almost screamed jumping into his arms. Her father loved how small things could make her so happy. He loved to see her smiling. That was probably only positive thing in his life after his wife's death.
"I love you dad."
"I love you too my darling."
He left kiss on her head.
"You know, I was thinking about watching that cartoon of yours."
"OMG, Tangled!"
Smile was formed on both of their faces. He loved spending time with her and she loved having him by her side...

Hello beautiful. Welcome to my first ever fanfiction written in English language.
First of all I'd be so grateful if you'd let me know what you think about the first part.
I'd also be grateful if you'd point out mistakes to help me improve the fanfiction and my writing in general. The story is all pre-written so it'll be updated regularly. I planned posting 2 or 3 times a week.
So yeah, hope you'll enjoy this story as much I enjoyed writing it.
