"What the fuck is she doing here? No offense Juniper love you, but we don't bring people over for a reason." I heard Oliver say as soon as we walked into an entrance.
I apologized and was freaking out internally that I wasn't welcome here. I turned to Xander to ask him to take me home when he looked as nonchalant as could be. "Shut up man she was having a rough time and needed to leave. She wouldn't tell anybody about this place, right?"
I immediately nodded. To be honest, I couldn't even if I wanted to. I was too busy staring at his car to see where we were going.
All the boys were sitting around the living room and they glanced at each other as if they were communicating if it was okay I stayed or not. Then, all of them grinned like the cheshire cat and Oliver ran up to me.
"Hi bestie I missed ya." He gave me a quick hug and left his hand around my neck. I heard Xander huff from behind me but paid no attention to it.
"Sorry to tell you Oliver but Elijah's actually my bestfriend." I joked and he dramatically scoffed and put his remaining hand on his chest. I giggled and rolled my eyes, causing him to smile as well.
"Fuck yeah." I turned my head towards Elijah and laughed. He gave me a head nod and I greeted him with a small wave.
"Looks like you might have some competition, loverboy." I heard Alex mutter to Xander and I turned towards him. Competition for what?
When Xander saw me staring at him he rolled his eyes and looked back at Alex, "There's not even a contest in the first place." His expression transformed from the once happy one to annoyed as soon as we came in here.
Alex scoffed, "Yeah okay." He then walked up to me and ruffled my hair, causing me to huff and push him lightly as he gave me a side hug. "Meanie." I tried fixing my hair and he laughed at me and went back to sit down.
I felt one of Xander's hands on my waist from behind me. He leaned down near my ear and whispered, "Sit down by me."
I wished it didn't happen, but I know for a fact I turned red as a tomato from such a simple interaction. The feeling of his rugged hands on my waist lead my imagination wild and did nothing to help my face to cool down. I responded with a quiet yes and followed him to one of the loveseats.
Alex chuckled as Xander pretty much pulled me down right next to him. I tried to cover my smile but I wasn't doing a very good job, causing Xander to smirk.
"So what are you doing here, Juniper?" Elijah asked as he took a hit from the joint in his hand. Before I could answer, he gestured to ask if I wanted to try it and my eyes widened. I shook my head quickly and he smirked. Jesus why do all these boys smirk so much.
"I uh just didn't want to be at the business party going on at my house." I subconsciously rubbed my neck at the thought of my father and bit my lip down quite harshly. I didn't want to go any further into detail so I just left it at that. Luckily they were completely fine with that answer.
Xander easily joined in on their conversation and I couldn't help but stare at him. His chiseled jaw became much more prominent anytime he smiled or laughed, something that was god sent. His laugh was deep but arousing and his smile could make any person who favored boys, faint.
I felt a nudge on my knee and I looked to see what it was. Oliver raised his eyebrows and nodded towards Xander, obviously catching my stare. I ducked my head in embarrassment and he chuckled. He began digging in the cooler beside him and I watched to see what he was getting. He pulled out two bottles of beer and held one out for me.
I glanced at Xander and he still looked deep in conversation with Elijah and Alex. Turning back to Oliver, I pondered over what I should do. I really just want to forget everything right now but I never break my promises. Shaking my head I declined, "I'm good. Thank you though."
