HER TIRES scrape against the floor as Max rides down the schoolyard completing many tricks that people cant do. On the other side of the schoolyard stands 4 curious boys and 1 love-struck girl, all staring at the new girl skate around.
"There's no way that's Mad Max." Mike says confidently standing behind all the boys
"Yeah. Girls don't play video games." Will states earning a playful smack on the back of his head by an angry Brooklyn
"Sorry. Girls who aren't Brooklyn don't play video games," Will corrects himself causing Brooklyn to ruffle his hair.
"Well even if they did, you can't get 750,000 points on Dig Dug." Mike proves looking Brooklyn in the eye causing her to scoff in amusement.
"But her name is Max," Lucas says gushing over the girl
"So what?" Mike questions
"So, how many Maxes do you know?" Lucas asks
"I don't know," Mike says realizing that Lucas may be right
"Zero. That's how many." Lucas proves with a smirk on his face
Brooklyn was getting tired of their weird stalking so she ruffles both Mike's and Dustin's hair while walking away.
"Where are you going?" Mike questions the girl who is walking away
"To g-go hang out w-w-with Max," she stutters making her way over to the fire-haired girl.
Max notices the beautiful girl walking towards her so she gets off her skateboard, holding it in her hands.
"Hey, Maxine," Brooklyn says stopping in front of the girl
Max yet again feels heat rushing to her cheeks when Brooklyn said her name. "Hey Brooklyn, who are those stalkers that you were talking too?" Max asks curiously, looking back at the boys.
Brooklyn lets out a chuckle, "Those are my friends. I'm s-sorry if they are being w-weird, they have just n-n-never seen a beautiful g-girl before," she says nervously
