BAAAAAAAAABABABABABAAAAAAAA!!

Here we are!!

Three important things:

1. I think from now on I'm going to post on Saturday instead of Wednesday. That means two chapters will come out this week: this one and another on Saturday.

2. This chapter is dedicated to @MaggiePershyn

3. I still don't own The Phantom of the Opera, sadly.

Christine

I slipped my arms through the cover and brought it around my waist. I looked at the wall, noticing one of the portraits. There was a portrait of Queen Sisi on the wall. Huh. I hadn't noticed that before.

I stepped out from behind the divider, and was in the middle of tying another knot when the candles went out. Immediately I knew what to do. I turned to look like I was leaving, even though I knew I was locked in.

INSOLENT BOY

This slave of fashion

BASKING in your glory!

Ignorant fool, this brave young suitor

Sharing in my triumph!

Triumphant I was. I was about to meet my Angel of Music! All I had to do was sing...

Angel, I hear you, speak, I listen

Stay by my side, guide me

Angel, my soul was weak, forgive me

Enter at last

Master.

I gazed at the ceiling as I sang. Those words had a lot to them, and by saying them aloud, I was proclaiming it all to be true. Master... that last line didn't feel right. Master... but he was only a man. It didn't matter. I wanted to meet him, didn't I? That was really all I was saying.

Flattering child, you shall know me

Of course I would. He wanted nothing more than to be known in a positive light. The poor thing.

See why in shadow I hide

Oh, believe me, I know...

Look at your face in the mirror

I did as he asked. My face—it was filled with some emotion, though I couldn't tell what. Fear? Guilt? Sorrow? Grief? Perhaps they were all there.

I am there, inside!

Weird. I didn't know the Phantom of the Opera was inside of my face.

Angel of Music

Guide and guardian

Grant to me your glory!

My vision faded as I fell into a trance. The room seemed glorified and misty, and I walked toward the mirror, where Erik was now visible. I sang my heart out, not because I felt like I had to for the plot's sake, but because I was so deep in a trance that there was no other way to express the wonder I was feeling.

Angel of Music

Hide no longer

Secret and strange angel

He smiled as I reached the glass of the mirror.

I am your Angel of Music, he sang gently. His voice was so soothing. I'd been in awe before, but now I couldn't take my mind off of the moment. It was wonderful.
