I groaned quietly, shifting in my comfortable position around the fire. I opened my eyes slowly, hearing the faint voices speak in whispers around me, seeing Clarke and Bellamy awake and talking to each other.

I sat up, pulling closer Bellamy's jacket that was slung around my shoulders. I looked beside me, seeing a peacefully sleeping Octavia before turning to Clarke and Bellamy who were now looking at me.

"Hey." I greeted the pair softly in a hushed voice, careful not to awake Octavia, "Did you get any sleep?"

Bellamy shook his head, "It's okay." He gave me a faint smile, "I'll sleep when we find Finn."

I wanted to tell him otherwise, to insist that he got rest seeing as his eyes probably hadn't even shut since Abby sent him off to look for us. But Bellamy was just as stubborn as I was, and I knew there was no changing his mind once he made a decision.

I nodded while Clarke frowned when his name dropped.

Bellamy turned to the blonde, "You haven't seen him, Clarke." He began while she listened intently, "Losing you," he glanced at me, "both of you, the others, the war, it changed him."

"Changed him how?" Clarke questioned, her voice weak and barely just above a whisper.

Bellamy hesitated before continuing, "He executed the Grounder that drew us the map." He said, "Pulled the trigger without even blinking and walked away."

I knitted my eyebrows together after Bellamy had finished. I was in complete disbelief, remembering that he once completely refused to use a gun let alone kill with one without even batting an eye.

"That doesn't sound like Finn." I frowned.

Bellamy looked over at me, "No. It doesn't." He agreed. "I saw what he was capable of.. and still I let him go with Murphy and two automatic rifles."

"I'm sure that had to be done." Clarke reassured him with a half-smile.

Bellamy paused, looking at her with sad eyes before looking down at the ground, "When we got back to the drop ship and no one was there," He looked up at me, "we assumed it was the Grounders."

"Of course you did." I spoke, "You couldn't have known it was the Mountain Men. No one could have. It wasn't your fault."

He nodded faintly before speaking again, "How long until chocolate cake turns into being hung upside down and drained for their blood?"

I sighed, not knowing the right words to say, looking over to Clarke for help.

"I don't know." She chimed in. "But we don't have much time."

I nodded, tying my hair up into a ponytail, "First we find Finn, then our people in Mount Weather."

"And Lincoln."

The third voice added on to my statement, causing me to turn to the girl we were all trying hard not to awaken. She laid staring blankly over the three of us before sitting up, "I think we've slept long enough."

She began to gather our things while Clarke nodded, following her lead. Bellamy walked over, offering his hand before pulling me up.

"Let's go find our friend."

...

"Octavia, slow down." Clarke called after her while the younger girl led us through the maze of trees, walking so fast she might as well have been jogging.

It was clear that we were nearing someplace she found familiar by how quickly her pace had picked up. I followed behind her, gun held close and checking for any signs of danger. Octavia had been travelling so fast she wasn't paying attention to anything around her. Bellamy had noticed as well, doing the same thing from beside me until Octavia came to a stop.

The three of us had followed in her footsteps, stopping as well when she did.

"This is it." Bellamy was the first to speak, glancing up at the stone figure of Abraham Lincoln that stood twenty feet before us. "Which way to the village?" He turned to his sister.

The brunette only stood, frozen in place while she stared ahead, concerning the rest of us.

My eyebrows knitted together as I lowered my weapon, "Octavia?" I called out to her when her eyes began to water.

"The Reapers came from there." She pointed before turning to me in distress, "I couldn't save him, Claudia."

"Hey," I adjusted the strap around my body so that my gun was out of the way before I pulled her in for a hug, wrapping my arms around her tightly. She cried softly into my shoulder, clinging onto me. "It's okay."

"I couldn't save him." She whispered as I looked over to Bellamy for help.

Before he got the chance, loud gunshots pierced the air nearby. It was loud enough to know it was in the area, but faint enough to know it was miles away.

I pulled away from Octavia, looking over to Clarke with wide eyes, all of us having the same idea before we began to sprint in the direction it came from.

My mind was racing at a thousand thoughts pet minute as my feet carried me as fast as they could through the forest of green. What if Finn was dead? What if a Grounder was dead? What if this was the start of another war? The scenarios running through my mind weren't soothed in the slightest when I began to hear the screaming of villagers in the same direction.

The gunshots only grew louder and heavier, and I knew we were inching closer and closer to the village with every step we took.

My heart raced when we had finally arrived at the scene, Finn's eyes locked onto our arrival immediately. My wide eyes took in the area before me. Finn stood guiltily, gun in hand, meanwhile multiple dead Grounders lay at his feet.

Those who had survived were pent up in one circle, whimpering and cowering in fear of Finn. Murphy stood a few feet behind Finn, it was clear that he had tried to get away, probably convincing Finn to do the same. Clearly he didn't listen.

Octavia was the first to run over, aiding the Grounders who were left.

Clarke, Bellamy, and I had walked over slowly in shock at how many were now deceased, all by the hand of Finn, until we were just meters apart.

Finn's eyes scanned over Clarke and I, before stepping forward, reaching out, only for Clarke to back away with wide eyes.

Finn's face softened, "Clarke."

The blonde's eyes began to tear up as she shook her head rapidly.

Finn turned to me with hope, but I glanced away, turning to Bellamy who pulled me close to him.

"What the hell have you done?"
