(Cherry Bomb's P.O.V.)
"Do you hear that Chunk?" I ask tapping my cousin on the shoulder.
My cousin has a piece of pizza in one hand and a strawberry milkshake in the other he then runs over to the window along with me.
I'd already finished eating my meal and watch the police chase outside of the window with my cousin bullets were flying back and forth, I am startled out of my own thoughts when I turn seeing, the strawberry milkshake explode all over Chunk and on the window.
"Awww shit!!" he yells throwing his cup down still holding his pizza in one hand that's in a fist.
"You are such a slob Chunk, go to the bathroom and clean up! Then we'll ride our bikes to Mikey and Brand's house."
"Fine," he whines.
While a worker cleans up his mess I find my jacket and put it over top of my AC/DC shirt then sit on a chair and wait for Chunk to come out of the bathroom cleaned up so we can go. As I sit down I begin thinking of my best friend in our friend group, my best friend is Clark Devereaux. Or 'Mouth' as we call him because he can never shut his mouth it's always running.
Flashback
I remember walking into the high school for the first time with Chunk and finding our group the Goonies, it doesn't take long for me to have a nickname from the gang. Before they've just always called me Kenzie as everyone else does both at home and in the friend group, "You got boobs over the summer Kenz, and they look really nice!" Mouth says smirking at me while combing his hair.
"While I may have developed breasts over the summer I see that you haven't yet developed a filter to shut up Mouth! And I really think it's about time you developed one." by this time he's put his comb away and staring blankly at me along with the other Goonies.
"Geez, Kenz, can't you take a compliment? Without getting angry and exploding like this."
"Yeah, Cherry Bomb, learn to take a compliment without exploding up at pupil." Data says.
"You mean people?" I ask raising an eyebrow at him.
"That's what I said!"
I roll my eyes at him and I jump when the bell rings and it's only Mouth and me in the hallway, he leans close to my ear whispering, "Goodbye Cherry Bomb, see you at lunch!"
But the way he looked at me after that made my stomach drop and my cheeks heat up, that was the day that I'd gotten a crush on my best friend. My best friend Mouth the jerk of our friend group.
End of Flashback
"Cherry Bomb, KENZIE!" Chunk yells at me.
"Oh, I'm really sorry I was...just...you know thinking again."
"It's okay come on let's go! I can't wait to tell Mikey about the police chase with the old ORV!"
I sigh rolling my eyes as I mount my bike outside the restaurant thinking to myself Oh, boy here we go again with another one of my cousin's farfetched stories! Only this one actually happened but he'll somehow manage to find a way to exaggerate it.
