Cherry Bomb and Mouth (A Goonies Love Story)

ELEVEN

(Cherry Bomb's P.O.V.)

Mouth and I are walking with our hands together and Steph turns to us saying, "It's about time you two made up! Glad to see it finally happened between you two!"

Mouth and I glare at her and stop walking when we hear Mikey say, "Oh, wow it's a beautiful waterfall!"

Mouth goes under the waterfall before I do and his hair gets wet a little making me smile because his hair looked really nice when it was wet, and then I go right after him. I give him his coat back and he smiles at me a little taking my hand, we then walk around in the water and see tons of coins.

"Look at it all Mouth!" I shout and start to fill up my pockets with the treasure.

He picks up a coin and says, "Oh, I don't know a couple of years before Kennedy maybe...uh...Martin Sheen."

"Martin Sheen?!" Andi, Steph, and I ask.

"That's President Kennedy, you idiot!" Steph shouts.

"Well, he played Kennedy once! Same difference!"

"So stupid Mouth!" I say.

"Oh, yeah?"

"Yes!" Steph yells.

Mouth opens his mouth to say something snarky but before he can say anything I say, "Shut up!"

He looks hurt and pulls out a coin saying, "This one right here was my dream, my wish! And it didn't come true I'm takin' em' all back." and then he dives down to get his other coins.

I can't help but wonder what he had wished for when he'd thrown his coins into the wishing well.

A little while later we hear Troy at the top of the wishing well talking loudly as usual, and I decide to yell something up but Andi beats me to it, "Yes, Troy, it's me please send down the bucket and get us out!"

"What the hell are you doin' at the bottom of a well?"

"Wouldn't you like to know asswipe! Just send down the bucket Troy dammit!"

When the bucket comes down Andi steps into the bucket first and then Mikey says, "Chester Copperpot! He was a pro and he never made it this far look how far we've come!"

"Yeah, but maybe Chunk is dead. And what if one of us gets killed if we go on!" Andi says.

I shudder at the idea of my cousin not being alive anymore because although he is extremely annoying I would miss a lot if he died. Mouth holds me close so I feel better then Mikey says,

"Don't you realize the next time you see sky it'll be over another town the next time you take a test it'll...be in some other school. Our parents they want the bestest stuff for us but right now they gotta do what's right for them, 'cause it's their time up there." I look up at my best friend and see a sad look on his face so I squeeze his hand, it doesn't make much of a difference but at least he knows that I am here for him. 

Mouth looks over at me and smiles faintly and I smile back a little.

Mikey continues on, "Down here it's our time, our time down here! That's all over the second we ride up Troy's bucket.

And so nobody goes up Troy's bucket but I whisper to Andi, "Hey, you should send your jacket up with the bucket and break up with him so you can be with Brand."

"Okay," she says smiling. "But only if you find a way to kiss Mouth."

"What? No, way I can't do that!"

"Then I'm not-"

"Okay fine I'll do it!"

As Andi goes back to catch up with the others I hear Troy's big mouth yell, "ANDI! YOU GOONIE!" 

"That's right jerk she broke up with you because she doesn't like you! So shove it up your ass Troy Boy!"

With that I walk away to my friends feeling rather content with myself, now I just had to think of a way to kiss my best friend and then all would be well.
