Phana's POV

When Ging told me that Yo became a Moon for me, my heart skipped a beat and my face broke into a wide smile. It was like everything I wanted just fell into place for me.

After all the contestants left the stage, I continued to stand there with Pring while the announcers thanked all the judges and the sponsors. Pring and I finally said our piece, saying goodbye to the crowd and went backstage. I thought I'd run straight to Yo, only to find my way blocked by contestants and their well-wishers. I finally get close enough to see Yo talking to Forth. I want to break that up immediately, Yo is mine, but something about the look in Yo's eyes and the way Forth is holding his shoulders makes me pause.

As I watch, Forth takes Yo's hand and pulls him away. All I can do is stand where I am while Forth pushes Yo into an empty room and shuts the door. Neither of them had even noticed me.

I planned to wait for them to come out, but immediately got roped into taking pictures with a crowd of contestants. I went to rescue Yo as soon as I could, but the room was empty. I didn't even see them leave, but I wasn't worried about it. It annoyed me that Forth wouldn't give up, but I was sure he would understand after talking to Yo tonight. I'd see Yo in the morning to make sure he wasn't too upset about hurting Forth's feelings.

Yo's POV

Forth is my boyfriend! I always thought that just loving Pha from afar would be enough. I loved him knowing that he would never love me back. But I'd finally come to see that I deserved to be loved in return. Forth showed me that he would love me without fear or reservation.

Forth spoke to Ging, promising to come pick up the remainder of my things tomorrow. Then we got on his motorcycle and drove to my dorm. I put my arms around his waist, holding tightly, enjoying the speed, the wind, and the feel of his body.

When I opened my door and Forth took off his shoes, it finally dawned on me why he wanted to go somewhere private and I was suddenly very shy. Forth must have felt my nervousness because he put his fingers under my chin and lifted my face to his.

"Yo, I just want to hold you and talk," Forth said, smiling at me. "We don't have to do anything else. I love you. I can wait for you to be ready."

"Thank you," I said, feeling relieved. I took off my shoes and my jacket before following him into the room.

I sat on the floor, opening my laptop and looking up the competition pictures. I wanted to see Ming's performance. I had missed most of it since I was backstage at the time. He did really well, no wonder he was the new Campus Moon.

I grabbed my phone and sent Joss a text, letting him know about tonight's events. He was probably busy, but I couldn't wait to tell him about Forth. I sent Joss and my dad pictures of my sashes as well. My dad will never believe me. Forth sat behind me with his arms around me, watching.

There was one thing I still didn't understand about today. I needed to talk to Forth about it, so I grabbed his hand and pulled him up to sit with me on the bed.

"Forth? Why were you upset when you came in after the competition?"

"I heard P'Ging talking to Ai'Pha," Forth said, watching me closely. "I thought that song was for Ai'Pha. I was disappointed, but I wanted you to be happy, so I thought it would be best to leave before you saw how upset I was."

"What did P'Ging say that made you think that my song was for P'Pha?" I asked, feeling confused.

"He said you came to the university and wanted to be a Moon because you loved Ai'Pha," Forth said, looking upset again.

"I had a crush on P'Pha for a very long time, too long," I admitted. "I did come to this university because I knew he was here. I wanted to participate in the Moon and Star Competition for him. I loved the dream of him, but I didn't even know him."

Forth listened to me and seemed to understand. He smiled at me and I smiled back. I haven't been this happy in a long time.

"I'm sleeping here tonight," Forth said, laying down and pulling me into his arms.

"Shameless," I said, wrapping my arms around him and snuggling in closer.
