"Well, this is nice." I remark as I walk into the parlor of the plantation, seeing Elijah and Klaus reading books, a dead girl on the coffee table.

"Isn't it?" Klaus snickers, flipping a page.

Rebekah strolls in, raising her eyebrows at me, before looking to her brothers, "So this is what you do the first time we're back together as a family-vampire book club?"

I chuckle, as Klaus responds, "Reading edifies the mind, sister. Isn't that right, Elijah?"

|

I crouch down, grabbing a rag, and helping Rebekah scrub her rug. There was nothing else to do until Klaus or Elijah gave me some information on Davina Claire.

"Poetry about poisoned apples from dead trees. Looks like someone's worried about impending Daddyhood." Rebekah claims.

"Nonsense. Elijah is back. In his presence, all problems turn into pixie dust and float away." Klaus mocks.

"Strange, I don't recall any pixie dust from the darkness of the coffin I was recently forced to endure," Elijah glances to me, "Emmie, has your sister, Elena, or maybe even your brother, Jeremy, stuffed you in a coffin?"

"No." I blurt, Klaus scoffing.

"What are you doing with mothers spell book?" Rebekah asks her brother, a hint of suspicion in her tone.

"Well, in exchange for my freedom, and a spell to help our friend here, I promised the witch Davina that I would share a few pages from mother's grimoire," Elijah answers, a smile appearing on my face, "It'll help her learn to control her magic. Thought we'd begin with two little unlinking and locater spells."

"Wait. You want to use her to unlink Hayley from Sophie Deveraux?" Rebekah questions.

"Sophie brought us to this town under false pretenses. She doesn't just want us to take down Marcel and his minions. She wants to take Davina back. So she yoked her own cause to ours. With magic, threats, and half-truths. Well, no more. As of now, our deal with Sophie Deveraux is null and void. Niklaus, Emmie, I need you to come with me. Emmie and I need 5 minutes alone with Davina. Niklaus, you need to make certain we are not interrupted," He turns to his sister, "You stay here with Mr. Steve and watch Hayley."

"How did I get elected Supernanny?" Rebekah whines.

"More importantly, who put him in charge," Klaus helps me up, "Let's go, love."

Klaus and I catch up to Elijah.

"Why do I need to come?" I ask, rushing to keep up with the noble brother.

"Well, it's going to be your boyfriend that Davina is looking for, won't it?" He glances behind his shoulder at me, a light grin on his lips.

|

Elijah knocks on the attic door, leaning against the doorframe.

I walk next to him, seeing a young girl, a smile on her lips, only it fades when she sees me.

"W-who's this?" Davina asks.

Elijah shakes his head, shrugging off her question and holding up the pages, "I made you a promise."

The smile grows on her face once again, "Come in."

"Uh...Davina, you wouldn't mind practicing this locater spell as well, would you?" I question the teen, my eyes filled with hope.

The brunette looks me up and down, her eyebrows creased as she ponders the thought, "That would be alright."

|

"What happened?" Elijah asks, helping the woman off the floor of the restaurant.

"It was Agnes," The woman groans, "Her men took Sophie."

"Day one with you in charge, brother, and already the witch linked to Hayley has been abducted by Zealots." Klaus jeers.

On the way here, Klaus explained to me that Sophie was a witch that lead the Mikaelson's here, informing them of Klaus' baby whom was inside Hayley Marshall, Klaus' one night stand.

"Where is she?" Elijah asks, brushing off his brothers comment.

"If I tell you where Agnes is you'll just kill her." The woman accuses.

"Is it that obvious?" Klaus cuts in once again.

"Look. I know she's a little cuckoo, but she's our last living elder. That might not mean a lot to you, but it means plenty to us. The elders are the only ones who can do important spells." The woman tells us.

"Like completing the Harvest Ritual." Elijah realizes.

"You know about that?" The witch asks in shock.

"Oh, you'd be astounded the things I know." Elijah utters.

"Allow me to entertain you with today's list of priorities," Klaus approaches the woman, "One, unlink your friend Sophie so she no longer controls of the woman carrying my child. Two, convince my brother to accept my heartfelt apologies for some recently dodgy behavior. Three, help my love struck friend here find her boyfriend in another dimension. Four, there is no four."

"I believe what my brother is attempting to communicate here is that neither the life of this elder nor the Harvest Ritual nor your covens connection to magic are of any relevance to him whatsoever," Elijah makes his point, "Now talk."

|

"What a trip." I sigh. We are now finding this Sophie girl.

"Stop complaining, love," Klaus looks down at me, a smirk playing at his lips, "Or I'll have to make you."

"Niklaus, leave her alone." Elijah points to his brother, pursing his lips.

We make our way inside the tomb, Klaus holding up his hands in surrender while a chuckle comes from his mouth.

My eyes meet with a woman, who was tied up in shackles. Sophie.

"Ah!" The woman grunts as Elijah rips off the chains, "Agnes stuck me with a needle," She groans again, "Ugh! Cursed objects were created a long time ago. We use them so we don't get busted by Marcel for doing magic. The one she used is called the needle of sorrows. It was cursed in 1860 when-"

"Jump ahead a few decades and tell us what it does, love." Klaus interjects, rolling his eyes in annoyance.

"It has one purpose-to kill a child in utero by raising her blood temperature." Sophie explains.

"It's for a miscarriage." Elijah points out.

"Wait, so that elderly is trying to kill Klaus' baby?" My eyes widen, not quite understanding why.

"Elder." Sophie corrects, but nods her head, confirming Elijah and I's words.

"So how much time do we have to fix this?" Elijah asks.

"It'll do what it's meant to by tonight's high tide," Sophie reveals, "And-believe me-it will work. I saw her use a similar object on a kid who went mad and killed a bunch of priests."

"I'd like to have a little chat with this Agnes," Klaus' expresses, "Where can I find her?"

"You won't. There are a thousand places she could hole up to wait it out." Sophie answers.

"That's precisely why we need to unlink you from Hayley, no more danger towards her or the child." Elijah states.

"No. What? If I am not linked to Hayley, I lose my leverage on you. We had a deal." Sophie exclaims.

"We are not on the same side, Sophie Deveraux," Elijah claims, "Our deal no longer stands."

The witches mouth gapes, looking at all of us in complete shock.

I'm always getting pulled into all this drama.
