...Sarah glanced at the midday sky like it had more mysteries than Capricorn could ever comprehend. "My favorite theory is that when they sealed us in here, they cursed themselves as well to be amongst the stars"....
...Aries was rolled to the tree and she took a vial of the potion. Carefully, she poured it onto the metal tree. They all held their breaths...
----------------
"I'm scared. I don't wanna die," Cancer shrieked as the tree started to smoke. Capricorn rolled Aries away from the tree in a hurry.
"Is it supposed to do that?" asked Pisces. Libra shook her head.
"This is old magic," she shouted. Gusts of winds had started to surround them, making communication and movement increasingly difficult. Libra raised her voice further. "Hasn't been used in centuries. We have no idea if we did something wrong."
"That isn't reassuring, love," Sagittarius told her, holding her tightly by the waist.
Leo flew over to Gemini. In a hurried voice, he told her, "If this is the end, I'm sorry that I abandoned you. But I'm still your best friend even if I'm with Aqua."
The smoke started to engulf them as they backed into the middle. Gemini threw her arms around him and held him tightly.
"I'm sorry I was such a bitch to you, I just don't know who I'd be without you," she cried. The two of them stood there for a moment in a tight embrace. They anchored each other just as they did for centuries prior.
Then the two of them heard a shriek as Taurus tried to run from the smoke. Gemini went over and picked him up as everyone ended up back to back in the center. Aries in her cauldron was rolled next to Gemini and Taurus, who stood on the shoulder of Cancer. Leo was on her other shoulder, with Libra at her side. Scorpio sat in the cauldron next to her, holding her wrist to ensure she wasn't left behind. Sagittarius, next to Scorpio, had his bow at the ready while Capricorn had Cass on one shoulder and Aquarius on the other. Pisces ended up between Aries and Aquarius, watching the kids all huddled in the middle.
"Does anyone have a plan?" Angel shouted from behind everyone.
"Don't die." Pisces grinned at her. Angel did not grin back.
Aries lightly slapped him. "You're scaring her, you idiot."
"When better to make jokes then when you're in life threatening danger?" Pisces asked her, smiling like an idiot.
Aries shook her head. She didn't respond, although they both knew the answer.
"Cancer, do we have any idea what's supposed to happen?" Libra shouted to her. The winds were picking up.
Cancer flicked through a spell book desperately, trying to figure out exactly what was happening. "I can't find anything in the book!"
"Does anyone want to tell me why we're so worried?" Scorpio asked, squeezing Libra's arm.
"Potion poured, weird smoke. Rip us," Capricorn summed up. Pisces laughed at him.
The smoke that was rising around them finally had them surrounded in a dome. They desperately glanced around for something to happen.
"If this is the end--" Aquarius started, but he never finished.
The dome collapsed around them and in it's place were three ghostly figures. Aquarius couldn't make himself remember his own train of thought.
The ghosts looked at them briefly before immediately bickering amongst themselves.
"They're missing one," said the largest ghost. Capricorn privately called him Big G.
