Libra made her way to the center of the forest. Creatures of all shape and size parted as her and her crew made their way. Trailing behind her was a nymph, a human, two Centaurs, and a pixie.
They arrived to the common place. This was the one neutral zone of the forest. No wars or conflicts were allowed to enter. Libra stepped onto the same tree stump Leo had hovered above just days earlier. She glanced around.
She had convinced Sagittarius to use his meeting horn, something in which Centaurs possessed as they were known as a peaceful species. She saw that creatures from every species had come.
She realized that she stood among legends; she was among the same myths she grew up with and they were friends and allies. She was a legend too. Libra the Good Witch. It was too wizard of Oz for her, but it worked in her favor.
"People of the forest!" Libra shouted. She voice was crisp and clear, and urgent. "My name is Libra Sistra and I am this forests witch. I have been here for a year, maybe less. I was stolen out of my home, out of my world. I am angry, but not at those who wronged me. I am in outrage at the Wicked Witch of Folklore Forest!"
Many gasped. Among mermaids, whispers of pop culture circled through.
"She has stolen our children, we don't know what she will do with them. We have a team of Fae working to get a child to turn into a witch."
"Use the boy!" One voice shouted from the crowd.
Murmurs of agreements continued on throughout the crowd. Capricorn stepped back uncomfortably.
"It only makes sense. If we bring another kid here to turn them she has everything she needs in our grasp," one voice rose among the others, from the Fae section of the crowd. "We can't let that happen."
"Devan, whatever you're thinking, stop thinking it," Cassie shouted from Bobby's shoulder.
Devan started laughing, causing a cold chill to go up Cassie's spine. When Devan had laughed before, it was always high and sincere. This laugh was cold and dry.
"Don't talk to me like we're friends, Pixie," Devan shouted. "We're in a war, and we just happen to be on the same side. We're not friends, we're barely allies. And when this is all over we won't even be that."
"I get it, but we cannot turn Capricorn," Cassie yelled. "The last Witch we turned went psycho, we can't have that happen again. Besides, if she doesn't have witch blood then we can just send Capricorn and his sister away with no harm done."
"Well, you were the one who turned Libra the good witch so maybe it wasn't Cancer's fault, but the Pixies who hit her," Devan accused.
Cassie felt all eyes burning into her as she continued making eye contact with Devan. She took a deep breath. She could feel people walking towards her.
"You just outed me. It's illegal for Pixies under a certain age to bite people, you know that," Cassie said, in a very soft voice. "I'm very sorry that this world has been cruel to you, but next time don't take it out on someone who was trying to help. It's not my fault you're broken."
Pixies, lifted up by their fairy allies, came up to Bobby's shoulder with handcuffs. They handcuffed the young pixie and flew her down to the ground. Moments later, she would be taken to a pixie juvenile detention center across the lake.
Devan watched this in anger. Broken. Damaged. She was none of these. She was not who they claimed her to be. She had been insulted by her closest friend, her frenimy, and probably the rest of the forest.
"Step down, Devan," Libra told her. "We don't need your help."
"We made a deal," Devan shouted. "You can't back out of that, or you know the consequences."
