Ice Breakers

We finally reached the castle and Mal called out for the king.

"Ben could be asleep anywhere."

"Or turned to stone." Celia reminded her and Evie put a hand over the small girl's mouth.

"Ben?!"

"I got his scent. Very pungent cologne, easy to track." The dog spoke. "Follow me people."

"That's great Dude." Carlos said as we started walking down the hall.

"Yeah, I uh give great cuddles too."

"Really?" Gil asked. "I never had a pet growing up." He said as I saw claw marks on the wall. "Except for the elk head in dad's man cave but that's not really a-" I cut him off.

"Hold up. What's this?" I asked, motioning to the painting that was cut in half.

"Uh, any chance this was already here?" Carlos asked the others.

"And, follow me." We did as the dog said and entered a room that was full of suits of armor.

"Ben?" Mal called as we all inspected the room. I looked at one of the swords and could feel eyes on me. I turned and saw Evie watching me. I gave her a 'like what you see' face and she rolled her eyes, looking away.

"I bet you lost some sleep, thinking about me on the loose huh?" Uma asked Mal as they walked through the middle of the room.

"No. Dragon's don't really lose sleep. I wonder what fried octopus tastes like." Mal said and Uma laughed.

"Why don't we not do this." Evie said.

"We're celebrating our differences." Uma told her, quoting Evie's words from earlier.

"I believe we're being challenged." Harry said, looking at a suit of armor.

"Let's split up and look for Audrey." I told the girls.

"That makes absolutely no sense, unless you give me my ember, she's gonna spell you." Mal said and I scoffed.

"Your ember? I seem to recall it being mine."

"Oh yeah? Then why does Uma have it and not you?"

"Because I actually trust her unlike you and your so-called friends." I motioned to Jay and Carlos who gave Mal a confused look.

"Hey!" Harry shouted and we all turned to him. "We have a situation here." We all looked at the suit who balled.

"You like a prince, Mal, how about a knight in shining armor." A female voice that I assume is Audrey said. "Or knights." All the suits of armor in the room came to life and pointed their swords at us.

"Watch your back, watch your back, watch your back, watch your back. We can counter their attack, hit 'em 'til the armor cracks." We all sang as we ran for the exit.

"This could get a little sticky." Uma sang pointing to the swords. Gil grabbed two for him and Uma while Harry grabbed one for me and him. I summoned some demons to help and they grabbed swords as well.

"How to win this battle could be tricky." I sang as we both stood on the platform.

"But we know the best way, fall back let us lead, you hold the line, and we'll bring them to their knees." We sang as Mal stepped up with us.

"Swords in the air if you're with me." Jay tossed her a sword. "They got us outnumbered one to fifty, but victory is ours, 'Cause I got a strategy, you take the left, and the rest of you can follow me." Mal told us and I shook my head.
