The Lone Home [ Completed ]

CHAPTER 12

"Dad!" Ella and Emma ran to Jacob immediately after he arrived at Monica's house.

"Woah! Calm dow-..." He was cut by Violet who rushed and hugged him. She began to cry.

"Oh love! Don't cry. I am here now" Jacob kissed Violet on her head.

Rachel brought him a glass of water. He took the glass and thanked her.

"I hope it was not tough for you to find our house, Mr Smith," Monica said, as she shook his hand. 

"Not at all. And please call me Jacob," he replied.

"Very well" Monica smiled.

"So tell me what happened. Why are you all so terrified?" Jacob asked when he settled down? 

They all told him each and everything that happened. Jacob exclaimed on the word 'bat'.

"Dad, you believe us?" Emma asked innocently.

"Yes, dear. I believe each and everything that you all told me" Jacob replied.

"Wait! Ella! Where are you going?" Jack said.

Ella was climbing the stairs and when all of them turned their heads, she was already on the first floor.

They all ran towards her. 

When they reached her, she was about to jump from the first-floor window.

"Ella!" Jack screamed and ran to hold her.

He was on time. If he would have been late a second then she would have been on the ground till now.

Jack shook her very fast and she came back to her senses. 

“What happened to me?" Ella asked, sleepily.

"You were about to jump from the window!" Jack yelled. "What were you doing?"

"What? I was about to jump down the window? I didn't know what I was doing! What has happened to me?" Ella began to cry.

Violet hugged her and said "it's alright dear. Nothing has happened to you. It's probably due to lack of sleep," she lied. 

Violet laid her on the couch and said, "sleep for some time ok?" She patted her.

When she slept, Monica whispered, "I think she is possessed".

"What?" Violet cried out though she also knew that Monica was probably right.

"Umm... I also think so dear. It has happened twice and both the time she was not in her senses" Jacob agreed.

Violet fell down on the couch and began to cry.

Jacob hugged her and said, "don't worry! I know a person who can talk to spirits. We can call her".

"I also know a lady who attends cases like this," Monica added.

"And her name is Rose Brown," Jacob and Monica said together.
