<Dom's POV>

I was up the whole night, thinking about what was going to happen today. I knew that Letty was up too, after all, it was the 21st of April. Every year we used to continue our little ritual, me bringing three bottles of vodka and a pizza over to her room, us spending all day in bed. Our tradition got interrupted during my time in prison, but I had always called and talked to her for a few minutes.

Getting out, I assumed we would continue where we left off, but as you know, reality never goes as you'd expect it to. Especially with Owen in the picture I wasn't sure whether to go visit her. Depressed at the fact that I didn't lose Letty as a girlfriend but also as a friend to some extent I went to her room. She hadn't slept here for the past few weeks. I was already expecting her to move out permanently - A thought I didn't enjoy.

I opened the door quietly, remembering that it always squeaked when it was opened fast. The room was lit up due to the curtains being open, the moonlight shining inside.

"Letty?" I hoarsely asked the silhouette standing at the window. She didn't respond, only continued to stare outside. I slowly stepped inside, being careful not to push her into talking too much. You never knew with Letty how far she was willing to let you in.

I closed the door continuing to walk towards her. She didn't move, silently staring into the night. My hand rested on her cold skin, indicating that she had been here for a while. I closed the window slowly, being careful with her reaction. It was almost scary how silent she was today.

I hugged her from behind, praying that she wouldn't push me away. She melted into my arms like a puddle, putting her whole weight onto me. It was her way of telling me that she was glad I was here.

We stood there quietly for a few minutes until I lifted her up and placed her on the bed. I covered her in the soft blankets, also aware that she wasn't going to get sleep anyway. Usually, I would have climbed in the sheets with her, but I didn't think it was my place.

Somehow awkwardly I kissed her on the forehead, enjoying the form of contact too much. "I'll be back with the alcohol later," I whispered.

"Stay. Please," she said barely audible, holding my hand. I nodded empathetically, climbing in the bed. She was curled together in a little ball, making me realize how fragile she could sometimes be. Don't get me wrong, Letty was the toughest girl I had ever met, yet she showed in moments like these that she wanted someone to protect her.

I hugged her, her body snuggled against me.

-----------------

I woke up with light rays in my face, Letty's back pressed against my front, my arms securely holding her body. By her light breathing, I could tell that she was awake. She probably hadn't slept at all.

"Get dressed and we'll go," I whispered, pulling the shirt over my head, which I had discarded due to the heat.

I heard the door open and already knew who was going to be on the other side. "What the fuck is going on?" His harsh voice yelled.

This was bad. Letty and I were sitting next to each other in bed, putting our shirts back on."It's not what it looks like, calm down."

"You don't tell me to calm down, prick." Owen spat in my face, pointing his finger at me in a threatening manner.

"Watch it," I warned him. I knew I had to stay calm for Letty, but I wasn't going to let him walk all over me. Letty didn't even respond, just turned towards the wall and pulled the covers over her head.

"Are you serious Letty?" He started yelling, his face turning red from anger. I felt sorry for her, at the same time I wasn't sure if I should interfere.
