<Letty's POV>

We were in the middle of a huge fight. It was ugly, messy, and terrifying. Everyone had left the house as soon as they had heard the first fist smash into a wall. Dom and I were both very tempered and passionate people, which made our fights very physical. As soon as I had brought up his macho ways of flirting with girls he had completely lost it.

"I would never cheat on you, Letty!" He was yelling right now, his eyes red by all the blood that was rushing into his head.

"I never accused you of that! All I was saying is that you could start acknowledging me a little more. I am your girlfriend in case you haven't forgotten?!"

"Are you serious? You are such a hypocrite."

"I am a hypocrite? You never said anything when those skanks threw themselves at you. Why don't you just admit that you can't live without them."

"UGH, Letty I don't need them."

"Then why did you stay longer yesterday?!"

"What?"

You could see the surprise in his face. He probably wasn't aware of the fact that I knew.

"You stayed at the party longer than anyone else. Why?"

"Letty-." His voice turned soft again. That wasn't going to work this time.

"Why, Dom?" I heard my voice crack. No, not now. My eyes began to water.

"Letty, I-,"

"Tell me you didn't Dom. Please, tell me." I was shivering now, my eyes became blurry and I fell onto the couch not even noticing to arms wrap around me.

"I didn't cheat Let, you need to know that. I would never. I love you."

"I don't care if you say you love me, because you never act like you truly do. So tell me. Why did you stay?"

"Because of a heist."

No. NO. He promised that he would stop. The next thing that happened was a subconscious motion. It didn't feel like I was actually awake. I just saw my hand slap him in the face, his shocked face expression and then I was out of the door, driving somewhere as long as it was far away from him.

---------------

"Leticia?" A deep, somewhat familiar voice spoke to me. I didn't look up. I just continued staring at the pavement in front of me. A hand waved in front of my face, but still, I didn't move. It was only when two strong arms picked me up from the ground that I suddenly snapped.

"Let go," I yelled punching the guy in the stomach. But he didn't even flinch. He just put my feet on the ground. But I couldn't stop, I kept punching and punching, my fists uncontrollably moving against anything they could reach, while the voices in my head kept on shouting.

"Hey, hey," this guy said. I knew that voice. Through my blurred vision, I saw a slim but muscular figure in front of me. "It's Deckard. Owen's brother." The voice said.

And although I was acting like a crazy lunatic he hugged me, pressing me against his chest. He didn't seem to mind that I was sobbing against his sweater, or that rain was pouring down on us or that we were standing in the middle of a parking lot.

"Let me drive you home, okay? I just have to pick up something from the pharmacy."

I hadn't even realized that I was sitting in front of one.

I wasn't paying attention to anything, completely shut off from reality when I heard a voice say: "The police have finally caught the robbers who have been responsible for the midnight truck heists. The gang leader known as Owen Shaw and most of the robbers were caught this afternoon and are now awaiting trial. Only one member known as Dominic Toretto, who was formerly imprisoned for aggravated assault is still on the loose."

I turned my head to the TV screen behind the cashier counter, were a picture of Dom in an orange jumpsuit was shown.

"That dumb fuck really got caught, huh," Deckard whispered behind me, clearly talking about his brother.

"I have to get home," I mumbled some excuse and ran out of the store, getting into my car and speeding home.

------------------

I pushed the door open energetically expecting to see Dom packing his bags. Instead, twenty armed men were aiming their rifles at me.

"Damnit that's not Toretto," an older man covered in protective gear yelled. Everyone lowered their weapons once they realized the mistake.

I pushed past the older man to Mia who was crying at the kitchen table. Vince, Leon, and Jesse were all in a similar state, staring into the distance.

"Leticia Ortiz, you'll have to come down to the station with me," a younger cop said to me.

"What for?"

"Just some routine question. Every one of your family has to."

I couldn't believe that Dom was actually putting us through this. I had told him that it was dangerous and that he would get caught someday.

"Mrs. Toretto and Ortiz according to our sources you two were the closest with Domenic Toretto, so you're gonna have to give a statement now."

Mia was still stobbing into Leon's arms. Did these cops have no respect at all?

"Do you really think that she's in the condition to answer some stupid questions right now?" I snapped at the officer.

"We can either do this here or I can put you both in handcuffs and bring you down to the station."

Fucking animals. No empathy at all.

"Fine. You can talk to me first, just give her some space, all right."

The brown-haired officer nodded and led me upstairs to talk to me in private. Until now I hadn't really looked at him, but he seemed somewhat familiar. Except for that huge moustache on his face, which reminded me of a pornstar. He sat down on a chair and pointed towards Dom's bed for me to sit on. Why was he behaving like I was the guest when I slept in this room every single day?

Typical cop, he pulled out his little notepad and pen, spread his legs in this macho way guys do and bent forward, starting the interrogation.
