OMNISCIENT POV
"Mom!!!! No!!!!"
"Mom!!!!!" Zhan screamed in his sleep while shaking vigorously.
Yibo came and sat beside him. After a minute or two Zhan opened his eyes, his whole body wet from sweat.
"Mom!" Zhan yelled between his pants.
"Calm down baby," Yibo said with a soft smile while caressing his back.
"Where's a mom and where am I?" Zhan said with erratic breaths when he noticed that he no longer was in his room.
"Your mom left remember? And I brought you here, in my house." Yibo said as if it wasn't a big deal.
"M-my phone? Where is it?" Zhan said still terrified. He looked here and there in search of his phone to call his mom.
"Calm down baby and here it is," Yibo said with an amusing smile while giving the phone to Zhan. Zhan was already baffled by the nightmare he had; so he quickly called her mother. But she didn't pick.
"Why isn't she picking up?!" Zhan said with an exasperated tone.
"Maybe she had left you...?" Yibo said with a maniac smile unbothered to the situation. Zhan eyes grew big in anticipations of what Yibo could have done with her mother as he was a ruthless killer.
"Why would she leave me!?!" Zhan screamed at Yibo.
"You didn't kill her, right?" Zhan's voice became weaker and weaker as he started crying. Yibo just sat there with a crazy smile plastered on his lips and started reading his book.
"Say something!!!" Zhan shouted with all his might.
"She is pregnant for God sake," Zhan said between his sobs with an extremely pathetic voice. Yibo still didn't utter a word.
Zhan got out of his bed but when he tried to reach for the door he felt a strong tug on his ankle; he looked down on his feet and saw that he was chained to the bed's frame. He was flabbergasted.
"What's this Yibo, this must be some kind of effing joke," Zhan said self reassuring himself. Yibo looked up from his book with an unreadable expression and stood beside the window.
"Can you hear the rustling of tree leaves....so mellifluous," Yibo said with a calm tone while looking out of the window.
"Stop it! Free me please." Zhan cried.
"I love nature," Yibo said gaze fixed at the sky longingly.
Then suddenly Zhan's phone ringed. He hurriedly went to pick it up without seeing the caller's identity.
"H-hello." He said with erratic breaths.
"Hello Zhan sweetheart, I'm sorry I wasn't able to pick up your call."
Zhan took the deepest sigh of relief when he heard her mother's voice.
"A-are you fine mom," Zhan said with a heavy voice as tears started falling from his eyes.
"I'm alright Zhan but are you fine?" Her mother voice was full of concern.
"Yeah...I'm fine; just missing you." He said.
"Miss you too sweetheart. I'll be visiting soon again okay. Take care. And remember what I told you." Her mother said softly.
"Yeah, I remember mom, love you." He said.
"Love you too."
After talking to his mother Zhan was kinda relieved but was afraid too of Yibo.
"Yibo." He called for Yibo who was still looking at the sky with a longing gaze.
"Yes...?" He said softly.
"I'm sorry," Zhan said as he felt extremely guilty.
"When we shall die I want nature to engulf us in it so that no one can apart us from each other. Once we will become part of nature we will be one forever." Yibo said with a soft tone while looking at Zhan's eyes. Zhan was speechless.
"Yibo f-free me please, I'm very sorry," Zhan said while falling on his knees.
"Never..."
