Nagsalita naman ang isang mas nakababatang lalaki na nakasuot ng suit.

"Mr. Cabrera, the ownership papers of the private island that you've purchased are ready for you to sign."

"Just leave the papers to my secretary. I'll send them to your office tomorrow."

God, he owns a freaking island!

Ang isang lalaking nakasuit din at may dalang attache case ang nagsalita naman.

"Chairman, the proposal for the construction of two shopping malls in South Korea are already in my hands. It's up to your evaluation now."

"Sige Rico, I'll check on it tonight."

The guy named Rico looked in my direction. He smiled.

"Good to see you, Nix."

Do I know him personally? I smiled back.

Before I could even say something to him, River blocked his image from me.

The two younger men bid goodbye. Naiwan kaming apat sa loob ng office.

"River, can I talk to you about something?" sabi ni Serena sa malamyos na tinig. Mukhang hindi tungkol sa trabaho ang pag-uusapan nilang dalawa sa tono ng boses na ginamit niya.

"Alright."

I saw how Serena's hand nudged River to the other side of the room. Hindi ko sila hinihiwalayan ng tingin. Nakatalikod sa akin si River at natatakpan din niya si Serena.

"It's indeed a miracle, hija. Halos isang buwan kang comatose. Everybody is worried about you."

Bumaling ang atensyon ko sa matandang lalaki.

"Opo, it's really a miracle. God moves in mysterious ways."

Just like what your daughter is doing right now.

"You know what, those two were really close before. I thought sila ang magkakatuluyan. But then, that boy was really so hang up to you kaya ikaw ang pinakasalan niya."
