"Bat 2 to Bat Lead! I've picked up a few friends on my tail! I can't shake 'em!" Ian screams from the cockpit of his X-wing as he glances back and forth and watches as the now three TIE fighters pursued him and opened fire.

"Sorry Ian! I've got problems of my own!" Bat yells as he pilot's his Y-wing with his gunner, Wesley shooting at the pursuing fighters behind them.

"Smoked one! Smoked one!" Wesley yells right after he shoots the first down.

"Got it! Got it!" Bat yells as he maneuvers through volleys of blaster fire.

"Bat!" Ian screams.

"Hold! Hold!" Bat yells as Wesley continues to struggle to line up his shots with the pursuing TIE.

"Bat! I can't shake! Now! Now!" Ian screams as two green streaks from the TIEs turbolasers hit the side of his fighter.

Ian is jolted around inside his cockpit as he looks to his left and right behind him. His astromech droid on the top of the fighter beeps furiously as a blaster bolt soars right past him.

"I know R5! I know!" Ian screams as he does his best to avoid more blaster fire.

​​The fighter jerks forward as another bolt hits the droid and fries it completely.

"Bat! Just lost my droid!" Ian screams.

"Smoked two! Smoked two!" Wesley yells as Bat.

"Ian! Fly toward heading 8-5! I'll meet you there!" Bat yells.

"On it! On it!" Ian yells as he turns his smoking fighter and start's making his way toward the coordinates.

​​It was too late. The trio of TIEs had Ian locked in their targeting computers now and they all open fire on him at once. It wasn't hard for every shot to fry the ship and the thrusters explode. Ian lets out a blood curdling scream as his cockpit is filled with fire and flames and he's cooked alive before the fighter is completely ripped apart and explodes. Bat watches helplessly from afar as the three TIE fighter fly through the smoke and debris.

"No! Noooooo!" Bat screams as he flies straight toward the three fighters.

​​He opens fire on the TIEs and quickly eliminates the first two and Wesley shoots down the third that was attempting to flee.

​"Bat..." Fernanda starts through the comms.

​​Before she could finish, Bat heard the screams and blaster fire from the beach below on Scarif. The reinforcements had landed on the beach to back up the original infiltration team. Bat's sons, Scout and Rocky were on the gunship that was taken down there along with his brother and friend, Commander Doom.

​"Left side! Left side! Watch left side!" Doom yells as he grips his A280 rifle and fires at the stormtroopers from the beach.

​​He was taking a team over toward a landing pad to engage the imperial troops there and create a bigger distraction from the main force. Scout and Rocky accompanied him with two other troops. The old clone leader shot down three stormtroopers that were on the landing pad and they quickly turn and open fire on the rebels.

​"They're headed toward something called a master switch! The team on the beach is pushing up! We should rejoin them!" One soldier tells Doom.

​"We will!" Doom yells as they maintain a firefight with the troops on the landing pad, overpowering the imperial forces and knocking them down.

​"Let's go!" Another trooper yells.

​​They take off down the beach toward the rest of the troops that were heading toward the master switch. They were holding their position and were dug in as the imperial troops were pushing on them. Rebels were starting to drop like flies and the rest watch as a gunship carrying the black-clad death troopers flies overhead and drops them off. They come out of the gunship, mowing down the rebels left and right.

​"Watch out! Watch out!" Doom screams as he barely avoids getting cut down by blaster fire.

​"Agh!" Rocky screams as a blaster bolt hits him in the upper chest and he drops onto the ground.

​"No!" Scout yells and starts running over toward his brother but is shot down by two shots to his back.
​​He collapses in front of Rocky as he was trying to scoot back toward the remaining few rebel soldiers that were getting cut down.

​"Go!" Sergeant Melshi screams as he gets hit trying to help a wounded soldier.

​​Doom shoots at the death troopers and takes a knee besides Scout and Rocky who were still trying to move, Rocky trying to pull Scout's limp body along behind him. Doom looks down at them and lets out a sigh then looks up toward space and into his communicator he tells Bat one thing.

​"I'm sorry." Doom says before 3 blaster bolts fill his chest and he drops dead beside Scout and Rocky.

​"No..." Bat says quietly.

​​He listens on into the communicator as he hears 3 more blaster bolts fill the bodies of Scout and Rocky and they finally stop moving.

​"Bat..." Fernanda starts.

​"I..." Bat starts.

​​Not too much later in the battle would the rebel forces on the ground be eliminated and the shield gate destroyed, allowing the Rogue One team to transmit the Death Star plans up to Admiral Raddus. Not much longer after that, the Death Star would arrive with Darth Vader's fleet as the rebels start escaping. The Death Star fires a weak laser at the base on Scarif, eradicating the remaining imperials and rebels alike that weren't lucky enough to be killed during the fighting. Bat Squadron had escaped narrowly and retreated back to Utapau where Bat wouldn't even discuss with the squadron their losses or their victories and where he would retreat to his room and hardly be seen doing anything for nearly the next whole year.
