TatooineSitting in a house in the middle of the desert, was an old, grey-haired clone that went by the name CT-0-000. He sat in his chair, chugging alcohol from a bottle. He was accompanied by a RA-7 protocol droid that he had named Tat because of the paint on his armor that was similar to a rancor face and looked like a tattoo. He looks across the floor that was littered with spare droid parts and tools, over to a wall where a picture of a red-haired woman and a young clone with grey hair and an S tattooed on his forehead was hung up. It was him from the clone-war shortly before he deserted. He now had a scar over his right eye and another on his forehead where the tattoo was in the picture. After he deserted, he removed the tattoo himself, cutting a chunk of his skin off of his head and he grew his hair out. He lost his eye to a Trandoshan several years earlier on a farm he ran with several other clones that escaped after order 66. Most of the clones from the farm were former members of Bat Squad from the clone war and joined the fight against the empire in Bat Squadron. CT-0-000 did as well, but didn't stay for long. Shortly before the battle of Scarif, he left the squadron with his droid. He stared ahead at the picture more then looks over at his droid.
"Master, this isn't healthy." Tat tries to tell him.
"Ah shut up." He tells his droid, slurring his words.
"Why do you do this to yourself master?" Tat asks.
"You wouldn't understand." He slurs.
"Master. What happened? Why won't you tell me what happened on the freighter?"
"It's not important...not anymore." He tells him.
The droid stares ahead toward his master before slightly turning his head to face the blank wall beside him and he projects an image onto the wall. The clone stares at it. It was the face of the woman in the picture with long, dark red hair. She wore tan Jedi robes.
"What is your fascination with Mistress Rosalyn?" Tat asks.
"I...I love her Tat...she...she's changed. That's what happened, Tat. She led a group of stormtroopers to board the freighter I was on with Ravier, delivering supplies to Umbara base, where you were...They killed everybody else on board. She cut Ravier down right in front of me. I was supposed to die. She felt me though...she let me live...but...what she did...that's not how I remember her. She's an imperial pawn now." He tells Tat.
Rosalyn served with Bat Squad for some time during the clone war before she joined the Separatists as a Sith assassin. Bat and many clones had grown close with her and Bat chose to name his daughter after her.
"She let you live sir. Doesn't that still show you that there's part of the her you love, deep down within her?" Tat asks.
"I..." CT-0-000 starts.
He stares ahead at the picture Tat was projecting before the droid stops. He looks at his master and stares ahead at him.
"I'm probably not the best to discuss this with." Tat says.
"I'm pouring my drunken thoughts into a damn droid. What has my life come to." CT-0-000 scoffs and sighs.
"I have been receiving an encrypted transmission for a few weeks, master." Tat finally says.
"What?" CT-0-000 asks.
"I didn't find it relevant until now. It originated from an imperial star destroyer."
The clone sits forward in his seat and stares intently at the droid.
"Who was it from?" He asks.
"An inquisitor." Tat says, vaguely.
"Give me a name." CT-0-000 demands.
"It was mistress Rosalyn." Tat says finally.
"Why didn't you tell me?!" CT-0-000 asks, angrily.
"I didn't believe it to be relevant, sir."
"Why?!" CT-0-000 asks.
"You hadn't shared anything to me about her for a while. I didn't even believe she was still alive." The droid tells him.
"Please try to contact her." The clone begs.
"I think that would be unwi-" Tat starts.
CT-0-000 grabs the droid by his neck and shoves him against the wall.
"Just do it or I will turn you into spare parts!" CT-0-000 threatens.
"Ah! Yes master! Right away!" Tat screams.
He lets the droid go and sits back in his chair and lets out another sigh before he starts bawling.
