"This should be a good warning sign, " I said, standing a few meters back to see.
"Not bad. We make a good team, " Karma-Kun said.
Karma and I had literally sprinkled the entire floor with the anti-sensei powder. The only problem was, that we had used up my last batch of it. The whole floor was tinted a light pink, but not enough for an unsuspecting person to notice it.
"I hate to say it, but thanks for the help on this prank, " I grinned.
"No problem. I can't wait to see Koro-sensei melt into a gooey yellow puddle. If he survives this, he will never hear the end to my blackmailing, " Karma smirked.
We dusted our hands and headed home for the day. Finally, Karma and I had stopped fighting. We were somewhat friends. Turns out the assassination of Koro-sensei could really bring two people together.
"Do you want to have a superhero movie marathon?" I asked lazily.
"Sure. I love superhero movies. Especially when the villain gets his ass kicked, " he replied.
"Your house or mine?" I asked.
"My parents aren't at home. Let's go to mine, " Karma decided, already walking in front of me.
"Hey! Wait up, asshole!" I shouted, running up to him, "I can't believe you left me there." I huffed.
"Don't worry, I'd never leave you behind, " he said, ruffling my hair.
•
"I didn't know you liked Sonic Ninja too, " I remarked, watching the title sequence of the movie.
"Great minds think alike. Now shut up, I want to watch, " he said.
"You're no fun, " I pouted.
Throughout the movie, we didn't make a single noise. I snuggled under the blankets that we brought over, while Karma sat in a cross-legged position, his elbow resting on his knee. Getting slightly bored of the main character being an idiot, I rested my head on the redhead's lap. Karma immediately stiffened up, but slightly relaxed after that.
"Is that how it ends? Dammit! They left us on a cliffhanger." I exclaimed at the screen.
"You're getting awfully worked up about this, " Karma said, ruffling my hair.
"God damn it. Now I have to retie my hair, " I made a frustrated sound.
Karma chuckled at my antics. He must have known the dangers of befriending me. The rest of the time we spent in his house, we did the homework that Koro-sensei gave us. When we had problems with the homework, we taught each other how to solve it. I sat on my teetering chair, pointing towards the textbook with my pen.
"That's easy. In the atom, the proton number is the same as the electron number, " I replied, guiding him through the work.
"Wait a minute, you knew that didn't you!" I exclaimed.
A mischievous grin appeared on his face. I fake gasped and hit him over the head with my science textbook.
"Ow, why are you so violent," Karma said, holding his head.
"You're such a hypocrite," I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, but you love this hypocrite, " he smirked.
"In a thousand years, I will, " I sparked, flailing my hands.
When I was making weird gestures, I accidentally, pushed myself too hard off the teetering chair, resulting in my fall. At this moment, Karma unexpectedly wrapped his arms around my torso, preventing me from falling. My breath hitched at how close our faces were.
"Why are you so heavy?" Karma asked.
"Baka!" I shouted, hitting him on the head, resulting in him losing grip of me.
We both fell onto the floor, him on top of me. I gasped in surprise. Our faces we're even closer than before. I stared into his mercury-gold orbs before he smirked at me.
"Take a photo, it'll last longer, " I could feel the hot air hit me.
Just like how the hot air hit me, the realization hit me like a truck running me over. I quickly pushed him off me, glaring at him. Suddenly, he started laughing at my expression. Slowly, I started to join in with his contagious laughter, finding the situation hilarious.
"Oh my lord, what the hell just happened?" I asked between my laughter.
"I don't know, but you should have seen your face, "
We were definitely warming up to each other, faster than I expected.
•
"Well, it's quite late, I've got to go home, " I told him, looking at my watch.
"Okay. See you tomorrow in school, " he leaned against his doorframe, waving.
"Anyways, thanks for helping with the trap! I appreciate it, " I gave him a thumbs-up, walking away.
I walked away from Karma's house. I could practically feel his eyes on my retreating figure, watching me like how a snake watches their prey.
•
I huffed and collapsed onto my bed, throwing my bag at the side of my messy room. Today was an eventful day. I never thought that Karma and I would ever be friends. Did he consider me as a friend? He probably did, what kind of person would invite a rival to their house? A friend.
Soon enough, I fell asleep while thinking about Karma. My new friend.
