3rd person's POV

The six remaining Keyfinders finished their interrogation of Mr. PEACE, and left the faculty room. Japan texted Ukraine and South Korea to meet back up at the dorm. They walked to the dorm building in silence, disappointed that the forbidden building actually was just a faculty room. When they got into Japan's dorm, they sat around the meeting table and stared at the file, now their only clue besides the phone call.

"Vell, maybe ve overthought this. Maybe ve've been jumping to too many conclusions. Maybe there vas no mystery to begin vith." Germany voiced what everyone was thinking.

"Yeah, I guess..." sighed America, sorely disappointed that their adventure had come to an anticlimactic end. "We didn't really have much to go on, anyway."

"Um-" Canada tried cutting in, but Poland unintentionally interrupted him.

"Even if this school isn't housing some sort of conspiracy, I still had fun with you guys!" Poland said.

"But-"

"I don't know," It was Russia this time who cut him off. "I feel like we'rre missing something..."

"I thin-"

"But what?" America said loudly. Canada snapped.

"JUST SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO ME FOR A SECOND WOULD YOU???"

Everybody was shocked at his outburst. Canada rarely got angry, and only with good reason, so something must really be wrong for him to lose his temper like that.

"HAS ANYONE NOTICED THAT WE'RE NOT ALL HERE???"

Japan nodded. "Yes, senpai and Ukraine-chan aren't here right now, but I texted them and-"

Canada turned to face her. "Ukraine never leaves my texts unanswered. NEVER. Even if she's in class, or got it taken away, she answers it somehow. Ukraine must be in trouble. And maybe South Korea, too. When was the last time we saw him, anyway?"

"Bro, I get that this was fun and exciting and all, but you're just grasping at straws now. Ukraine probably lost her phone, and South is probably just chilling out somewhere." Said America. "Look, I love a good conspiracy theory, but that's just all this is now. A theory."

"Can we at least go looking for her? And South Korea?" Canada pleaded. "I really think that they are in trouble! What if you're wrong? They could be hurt, or even kidnapped!"

"Fine, but I think you're just being a worry-wart. They're fine."

Meanwhile...

They were not fine.

Ukraine woke up in an underground cell. Her head pounded from whatever it was that knocked her out, and she clutched at it and groaned. Presently, a shuffling noise in the corner prompted her to remove her arms, and investigate.

A faint beam of light barely illuminated the cell, and she squinted.

The shuffling noise got louder, accompanied by a harsh chewing noise.

Her eyes widened in fear and she backed away from whatever was making the noise. Her back pressed up against the wall, and she gave an involuntary squeak of surprise.

The noises stopped suddenly.

She held her breath in fear as the shuffling turned into a plodding noise.

Whatever was down here with her, was coming towards her.

She steeled herself and shot a beam of light towards the area where the noises came from. There was a squeal, and a thumping noise.

"OW!! MY EYES!! WHAT THE HECK UKRAINE?!?!?"

Oh thank goodness.

It was just South Korea.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry, I thought you were a kind of beast or something that was going to eat me!!!"

She could now see the faint outline of the Korean. He was holding something, a biscuit and a drumstick. The noise he made from eating was probably what was scaring her from earlier. She output a faint glow, and helped up South Korea, who smiled gratefully, and gave her a biscuit.

"So, where are we?" She said.

"I don't know. They knocked me out in the woods, and next thing I know, I'm in here. We're in the back of the cell right now. You can see a little more in the front. C'mon, I'll show you!"

He grabbed her hand, and she followed him to the front of the cell. Not much could be discerned about their location from the room, but she held to a hunch that they were somewhere in that secret room on the faculty building. She shivered as she saw steps leading upwards to a door. They must've been underground.

Ukraine hated being underground. So far from the warm sunlight and beautiful colors, so far from fresh air and freedom. At least there was a faint beam of sunlight in the back of their cell. Otherwise if she was down here for too long without recharging, she could die. Apparently whoever it was that captured them wanted them alive for some purpose. She scanned the rest of the room again.

There was a mass of strange looking technology in the center of the room. The room itself looked hexagonal. To her right were the stairs, to her left was some weaponry. It looked like their kidnappers were expecting an attack. Directly across the room from them was a small cage, hanging from the ceiling. A faint electronic glow emanated from it, and something inside of it moved. Her breath hitched in her throat.

They were not alone in the room...
