Chapter 9: Daddy is Mommy?

*A year later*
As I cradled Naruto-kun in my arms I heard the door to the house open and close. My eyes narrowed and I jumped onto the ceiling while hiding the baby on top of the closet. He was asleep so he wouldn't be able to be in danger. I watched as a figure walked into the living room. I had turned off the light before I jumped so as to not raise suspicion so I could not see the figure. Then, Naruto woke up. He noticed the room was dark and his face scrunched up. My face paled and I walked silently to the top of the doorway. The figure walked past the closet and I prayed silently that Fishy-kun would be quiet. My prayers weren't answered. Naruto wailed loudly surprising the figure. I grinned and jumped at the figure with a battle cry. As I trapped the figure between my legs the light fell on their face. I saw wide blue eyes and red hair. Namako. We stared at each other for a while before he blushed. "U-umm c-c-can you get o-off?" He asked. I noticed the position we were in and my face matched his hair. "O-oh yeah" I stuttered and I got off. Naruto was still crying so I cradled him in my arms. He fell back asleep. "So what was that all about?" Namako asked. I smiled sheepishly. "Sorry, I thought you were an attacker." He raised his eyebrow. "Why?" He asked. "Because you always scream 'IM HOME!!!! :D' when you get home." I said. He sweatdropped "Oops?" He said rubbing his neck. I chuckled. "Okay Tomato, dinners ready." I said. As we walked into the kitchen I felt something cold on my neck. I sighed, 'Here we go again' I thought as Namako smirked. "Your done." He said as pressed the kunai more against my neck. I smiled and disappeared in a poof of smoke. His eyes widened as he saw me at the dinner table calmly eating my food. He pouted. "Why can't I kill you!" He whined. I smirked. "Because you wove me!" I said. Namako blushed. "Sh-SHUT UP!" He yelled, embarrassed. I ate fish and gave Naruto a baby bottle filled with milk. He made adorable baby sounds as Namako sulked in a corner. I smiled and looked at my meal. It was ramen. That was basically all that Namako could afford while also keeping the other house. The reason we didn't raise Naruto there was because I felt like he should be raised in his parent's house. So we stayed in the Uzumaki's old house, a happy place. I would keep taking care of Naruto until he was four. Naruto would keep growing. Namako made the money and tried to murder me all the time. I sighed. This felt. Right. Staying with these boys kept a smile on my face. I loved them both.

I smiled slightly at the scene before me. I had just come home after a hard day of working as a Jonin and low and behold when I got home I saw Linoa sleeping on the couch with Naruto tucked in her arms. I looked at the table and I saw messy handwriting that said 'Happy Birthday Daddy'. I felt tears in my eyes. I grinned and tucked the card in my pocket. I can't believe she remembered. I smiled at the sight of Linoa face. Her eyes were closed and she was smiling. A warm glow was on her face and she looked truly happy. Then she opened her eyes looking at my face. She sat up slowly. Naruto murmured and opened his eyes. They shined brightly as he saw me. Then he said something that made me sweatdrop. "Mommy!" He said hugging me. I looked accusingly at Linoa. She whistled innocently. Naruto grinned. "Mommy told me that you were a girl because you took too much time in the bathroom applying makeup!" He said. My eyes twitched as I sent Linoa a glare. She giggled. "Oh Namako I didn't mean it!" She said laughing. I sighed. "Riiiiiiiight." I said not believing a word she said. Suddenly she looked at Naruto and nodded. His eyes shined so bright you could get so blinded that you would be able to see ultraviolet lights. Which was currently what I was seeing. He took m hand and dragged me away. "So Daddy! Can we play? Can we?" He asked. I nodded. He grinned even bigger. Sheesh this kid is as happy as a monkey with a lifetime supply of bananas. Or himself with a lifetime of ramen. Seriously. That kid loves ramen. So he and I played ninja. But there was a tiny problem. Naruto had tricked me so I was wrapped in ropes. "Let me go." I said struggling in the ropes. "Nope!" He said as he skipped away. I faceplanted. So I was stuck until Naruto came back. I could handle it.
