EPILOGUE
The two would-be couple arrived home late to meet both the twin's parents and grandparents. Sandra was also present there with her dad. They wondered what was going on but the parents were so happy to see everything they planned on doing already done. They wanted to help settle the differences between the two siblings but that has been solved already with the look of things.
There was joy and happiness when the good news of their marriage was announced to the family. They toasted glasses as a way of merry making.
A date was fixed for the wedding to take place. Preparations were made to enable them have an unforgettable wedding. Godfred volunteered to foot all the bills including that of the men too.
The day finally arrived. For them, it took years before the time arrived even though it was one and a half month. The venue faced the breathtaking sunset. At the end of each seated aisle, rose scented candles hung from naked tree branches. Spread down the aisle was white leaves as far as the eyes could see, slightly moist so they wouldn't crack when you stepped on them. Everyone present was dressed in their best attires.
The sisters were nervous and didn't know how to compose themselves. The feeling they had could not be described.
Back in the church, everyone took their seats. The flower girls lined the path with white rose petals as the music started. Martin escorted both his daughters down the aisle, which seemed longer than before. He was their strength, without him they would faint. All eyes were fixed on them with the guest taking pictures and videos. Up ahead, Norbert and Hector stood, the love of their life and everything. Unlike the boys, the sister's nervousness kicked in tenfold. The attention felt was too much for them to handle. Good thing they had only ten more steps to go. At the end of the aisle, Martin hugged his daughters and said
'I'm proud of you two' and then presented them to the grooms. He placed each person's hand in their grooms respectively and smiled. Martin patted the boys on the shoulder before leaving as a way of welcoming them into the family. Standing next to their loves felt overwhelming.
'You can now take your seats' the pastor said to the guests present.
'Dear beloved' he began 'we are gathered here this morning to witness this two couple join together in holy matrimony.'
He said the speech and afterward they all exchanged vows, tears filling their eyes. The ring bearer came forward and presented the rings. The sisters placed their grooms ring on first, then the boys also did same.
The pastor nodded and asked, 'if anyone objects to the marriage speak now or forever hold your peace.'
'With the power vested in me by the state, I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride.'
That was the sentence they were all eager to hear. Norbert and Hector leaned very closely to their wives and kissed them softly like they've never done before. Everyone cheered for them, however they barely noticed as the attention rested on one another.
Soon after they did the whole candle symbolizing and left the stage. They were all beyond hungry and left for the reception. The guests followed closely behind them. This day was their happiest day ever.Rose and Lisa eventually became pregnant with their husbands always by their sides. Lisa gave birth first followed by Rose. A grand naming ceremony was held to welcome them. At the church where they were to be baptized, the two babies held each other's hands while on their parent's laps. Everything became just perfect. They never expected it but were glad it happened. Even though their fate was twisted at childbirth, here they are bonded again.
THE END.
