"How do you expect me to do such a thing" Sandra yelled out
"What will people think of me? What will my neighbors say? I can't do this Daniella." She pleaded with her sister to think about what others would say about her when they heard of what has happened
"Come on, you won't stay here again if you accept my offer. I will provide you with everything you need during that time and beyond. You won't luck anything Sandra. Please help me." Daniella cried out to her sister who was looking away from her. She didn't want to see the pain in her sister's eye since that could make her give in to her request.

Sandra was Daniella's maternal half-sister. Georgina at a young age got pregnant with Sandra's dad whom she secretly loved. Her family, however, despised him and tried terminating the pregnancy but that plan didn't work. She stayed indoors until she gave birth to Sandra but her family still wouldn't let the baby be with her. They sent her to Daniel who fathered the child. He named her and raised her with all his
warmth and love. She was provided with everything she needed and never lacked anything. He was a petty trader at a nearby market. Georgina however made sure she visited them anytime she had the chance. She sent food items and some money to her daughter as maintenance.
She truly loved him and wished she could stay with him forever. Her parents later made her marry Godfred with whom she gave birth to Daniella. Godfred knew about her ex-lover and the baby and hated them a lot. He always made sure she never met with them or helped them in anyway. Sandra grew up with her dad at a place not far from Daniela's marital home. She couldn't finish her education and ended up helping her dad at home. She sold used cloth together with her dad and Bruno, a young boy whom Daniel took care of after he lost his parents in an accident.

Sandra felt the predicament of her sister and considers giving it a second thought. Seeing her sister's condition told her not to worry but she would think about her proposal.
"I pray and hope you give me a positive answer." Daniella said
"Don't worry. I promise to give you an answer soon." Sandra replied back getting closer and hugging her.
Daniella left that place with mixed feelings and thoughts. She didn't know whether to trust or not to trust her sister. It was very difficult for her to sleep peacefully that night. She tossed round the bed countless times until finally sleep took over her.

The sun shone brightly that morning, fresh windy and cool air filled the room. The fragrance from the flowers filled the whole room making the room pleasant. Daniella sat on the sofa at the far end of the room sipping a drink. She had some headache and couldn't go to work that morning. She watched one of her favorite movies but couldn't concentrate on it that much. Her sister's predicament got her thinking that much.
"Knock, knock" she heard a knock on the door interrupting her thoughts. Wondering who it was, she walked towards the door and asked from inside but there was no response. She opened the door and was surprised to see Sandra. After exchanging greetings and pleasantries, Sandra told her she had come to give an answer to what she had asked her to do.
"I hope you brought some good news" Daniella cut her sister short before she could end her statement.
Sandra watched her for some time and saw the pain of not being able to give birth. She had discussed the proposal with her dad the previous day
"If you feel that's the right thing to do to help lessen her pain; then go ahead." He told her that day.
"Daniella" she called "I accept your request "Daniela's eyes suddenly filled with tears and she run to hug her sister. Words couldn't describe how she felt.
"Thank you very much" was all she could say in her teary voice "but please keep it a secret from mum. Promise"
"Promise" Sandra replied back wondering why it should be a secret but decided not to question. She took leave of her shortly thereafter.

That evening, she couldn't wait to tell Martin. She was so excited and thanked God for making her sister accept the request.
"She accepted" Daniella screamed and clung on to her husband as soon as he entered. A tight hug followed after for a long time before she released him.
"Sandra accepted the proposal" she repeated
"Thank God" he cried out and knelt down to show how grateful he was to God. "Your sister is an angel"

The house was full of joy that night and their sleep was so relaxing. The happy sleep that had escaped them for years came back that night. The joy Daniella felt couldn't be described. Motherhood was a truly remarkable gift and privilege that Daniella held very close to her heart. Being a mother to her means to be fearless, to be a positive role model, to be a continuous cheerleader for every milestone her child will experience, to demonstrate the abundance of unconditional love that had no end and to cherish the countless memories that are truly priceless. Even though she wouldn't get the chance of carrying the baby in her tummy, she felt so proud that she would get a baby who carried the same blood related to them.

The morning's sunrise was a breathtaking display of radiant colors. Bright streaks of red, pink and orange slowly overcame the dark blue and purple of the twilight sky. All colors blended perfectly into each other making the sky resemble a prism. Sandra stared into the rising sun, its rays burning her eyes but she didn't look away. Her eyes were glued to the beautiful pink and orange color the sky was. She never noticed its beauty as she has never watched. It was until the main gate to Daniela's house was opened she realized her eyes were hurting. She watched the sun with her bare eyes. Rubbing her eyes with the back of her palm, she managed to respond to her sisters greeting.
"Good morning Sandra. Hope you're doing well?' Daniella asked
"I'm fine. And You?'
"I'm also fine His by grace. Sandra, thank you very much for what you're about doing. I would be forever grateful to you."
Sandra only smiled at her sister and they entered the room. Daniella left to get ready together with Martin as Sandra helped herself with the tea brought to her.
Few minutes later, they were all ready and left for hospital. Getting to St. Phillips hospital didn't take too much time to get there. Sandra was very nervous when they finally arrived. She didn't understand why she felt so nervous now even though she learnt it didn't have any much side effect. Daniella, upon noticing the sudden the nervousness of her sister, held her hands to give her some encouragement.
"Good morning Doctor Phillips" Martin greeted
"Morning. Hope you are all doing well" He asked and offered those seats. Martin briefed him on the purpose of their visit Doctor Phillips watched the two ladies for a while but uttered no word. For some minutes, the entire room was totally silent till Daniella spoke.
"What do we do next?"
"A date would be fixed for you to come back and everything would be done."
The conversation went on for some time and they took their leave.
