Kisses and cream

I placed my hairbrush on the dressing table and looked at myself in the mirror.

I looked good in the shorts and tank top that I had put on. The weather here was always humid, which made it super easy for me since I didn't have to carry huge coats with me.

I had applied some mascara and lip gloss and had made sure to comb my hair. I let out a huge breath and wondered what Xavier would be doing.

Ugh ! Why would I care ? He could be making out with some girl for all I care.

Okay, maybe not the last part.

I picked up my backpack and walked to the dining table to see my mom feeding Sophia.

"Good morning!" I chirped as I placed my head on mom's shoulder.

"Good morning sweetheart, how do you feel now?" She said while patting my cheek lovingly.

"Much better" I said grabbing am apple.

" I would be better too, if a fine young man snuck out just for me." She said whilst smirking.

Oh god ! She caught us!

Last night, when Xavier and I were talking, we heard my mom's car pull up in the driveway. I had immediately held Xavier's hand and pulled him into the supply closet.

"Why are we hiding? She already knows me!" He said.

"She'll think we are dating!" I had replied.

" What's wrong with her thinking that?"

" She will tease me forever!"

Unable to bear the awkwardness, I had clamped my hand over his mouth effectively shutting him up.

I was cramped up against him and we waited until she went into her room. Then, we snuck out of the backdoor and he ran towards his car with his signature smirk.

I had quietly snuck back in and acted like nothing was wrong.

"It's not what you think! We are just friends! He has many girls behind him and I have no intention of being one of them." I explained calmly.

"Fine, dear. I totally believe you" but her sinister grin said otherwise.

"Sophia, shall we go out for some ice cream in the evening?" I asked her trying to change the topic.

"Okay! Can I bring my doll too?" She asked me with her beautiful blue eyes bulging out.

" Of course, I'll pick you up today and then we'll go okay?" I said and she nodded.

"Okay, mom I'm leaving, love you!" I yelled before closing the door behind me.

I held my bag closer and I jogged towards my school. My car had broken down because I had pressed some buttons accidentally when I was parking yesterday, So I had to get it fixed.

About 5 minutes later I reached school. I walked towards the parking lot and noticed that the guys were casually leaning on their cars.

My eyes shifted to Xavier who was laughing at something Mark had said. His cute dimples was on show and he pushed back the hair from his eyes.

"Lexi! Hey girl, how are you doing now?" Kyle said beckoning me over.
I smiled and walked over to them. I hugged Kyle, Mark and Andrew. Luke and Zander were nowhere to be seen.

"I'm fine, I slept it off." I said and turned around when Xavier cleared his throat.

His arms were wide open and I moved closer to hug him.
