My Safe Haven

I was currently pacing around in my room and my sister looked at me curiously from the door.

"Lexi, why are you like that" she asked

"My friends are coming over any minute and I'm just nervous" I said.

"Mom's telling you to stop, she says you are stressing her out too" she said.

"Okay, monkey" I said and sat down on my bed.

I was wearing a dark blue knee-length dress which hugged my curves perfectly. I matched it with the necklace Xavier gave me and tear drop ear rings. My make up was light with mascara and lip gloss. My hair was let loose

The reason I dressed up is to show my mom how important this is to me.

TING TONG!

I raced down the stairs and door. I opened it with a huge smile and saw all my friends standing there with huge smiles.

"Hey guys! Common in!" I greeted all my friends with a hug my mom came out with an apron tied around her waist.

"So guys, meet my mom, Amanda Knight and mom these are my friends"

"Are you sure this is your mom and not your sister" Kyle asked and placed a kiss on my mom's hand.

I laughed internally, he was sucking up to her! This is going on well till now..

My mom blushed slightly and said "dear, you never told me that you had such great friends"

"They're also very reliable" I quipped and smiled at all my friends.

"Make yourselves comfortable! Izzy dear how are you?" My mom asked and pulled Izzy for a hug.

"I'm fine, Amanda just busy with work"

Everyone took their spots on the sofa and Kyle sat on the floor.

I sat on one of the sofas next to luke and he immediately hugged me.

My friends are so damn awesome!

Kyle switched on the TV to watch a game of football while everyone else spoke to each other.

There was something missing though.

A certain someone who has an ego the size of Jupiter and has really pretty eyes.

"Where's Xavier?" I asked Luke

"He had a meeting to finish first, he said he come in a little late" he said and I unconsciously pouted.

"Missing him, are we?" Luke said with wink.

"Pfft, I don't miss him, if at all I'm happy he isn't here" I said.

"Sure, lex. you need more than that to convince yourself" he said and leaned down to kick Kyle who was tickling Luke's feet.

TING TONG!

I bolted towards the door and opened it.

"Hi" I breathed out

"Hey" he said while trailing his eyes down my frame. " You look stunning' he said and I smiled.

"Thanks, come in"

He looked amazing in his navy blue shirt and black jeans with his boots.

We were matching!

Heh..... lame, my mind mocked me.

"Xavier honey! Hi! How are you?" My mom asked and pulled him in for a hug.

"I'm fine, Mrs. Knight. Thanks for having me" he said.

"Make yourself comfortable since you already know where everything is, especially the closet" my mom chuckled and Xavier's eyes widened a little.
