Mansions and cocky boys

Carter was awfully silent but I let him be and didn't ask any questions cause it wasn't the right time and place.

" Thank you Lexi" he muttered.

I smiled at him and said " what are best friends for?" I leaned in to hug him and he winced.

It was currently 2 pm and I continued driving towards my house.

I quickly opened my door amd ran over to carter's side and helped him get off the car and he leaned on my arm and limped into the house.

He sat on the nearest couch in the living room and I switched on the TV.

"Hey Carter, do you mind if I picked my sister from her school? My mom's busy."I said.

He nodded not taking his eyes away from the screen.

That's what Harry Potter does to you.

Taking my keys with me, I jogged over to my car and drove to my sister's school.

Luckily her classes were over by 2:30 so I still had some time.

I parked in front of the gate and waited for her while on my Phone.

Soon enough she came giggling and opened the door. I smiled at her and buckled her in with the seatbelt.

"Hey monkey, how was your day?"I asked her.

"It was good, but Brandon said he wanted to marry me! But I don't want to get cooties!" She said adorably.

I laughed heartily and said" boys don't have cooties. I think Brandon wants to be your friend."

" You think so? I'll ask him to be my friend tomorrow" she said and smiled widely.

We reached home and as soon as I unbuckled her, my little sister went running towards Carter who stood by the door smiling and she launched herself at Carter and he caught her swiftly and threw her up in the air and caught her while he squealed and laughed.

Once he put her down, she ran in and he turned around and said" you might wanna close your mouth, it makes you look ugly."

"Oh, so you can throw her up and catch her but you can't hug me?." I asked and I faked being hurt.

"No Lexi, don't do it. Common sto-"
Before he could finish his sentence, I launched myself at him and bear-hugged him.

"Ow!ow ow!! Let goo!" He whined.

I let him go and did my best wicked laugh. " Muhahahahaha"

"Lexi stop, you sound like a dying squirrel. The squirrels around might come and claim you as their evil queen" he said with a disgusted face.

I pouted and followed him into the house.

Sophia was eating a Sandwich probably made by Carter,while Carter went back to his place in front of the TV.

I climbed up the stairs, to my room and Opened my homework. I might as well finish it. I spent the next 3 hours finishing everything for the next week.

Yeah, I am a week ahead.

But only because my coach does not want boxing to be a distraction, not cause I'm a nerd or anything.

Heh...

I put all the books away and walked to the kitchen for a snack. Settling for a Sandwich, I sat on a couch and saw a note that read.

" Hey,
I didn't want to disturb you so I left but I made sandwiches. I know you have a lot of questions as do I and we shall speak about it tomorrow.
Much hatred, Carter.
P.S ; Sophia is sleeping. Also, I took the new Victoria secret magazine :p"

Laughing aloud at Carter I threw the note and took out my phone. It was around 5:30 and I had to be at Xavier's house at 6.

My car was out of gas so I have to go there by bus.

I went to check up on Sofia and realised that my mom was asleep next to her.

I guess my mom came home when I was sleeping.

I quickly changed into a cute off shoulder top and blue skinny jeans before wearing my black sneakers.
I left my natural brown wavy hair down and put on some lip gloss.

I left the house carrying my bag and my phone and walked to the bus stop.

Nearly 25 minutes later, I was standing in front of probably the biggest mansion I had ever seen!

There was a large fountain in front of the entrance and it had its own valet.

Huge metal gates blocked me from going in.

"Name and appointment, please." A sudden voice asked me and I looked up to see a guard looking at me.

" Alexis Knight and I'm here to tutor Xavier Santiago." I told him.

He nodded and pressed a button which opened the massive gates and he led me inside.

I entered the house and saw a huge living room where I saw Xavier casually lounging on a sofa which probably coasted more than I could earn if I sold my kidney!

He looked up to me and he smirked playfully while I rolled my eyes.

" Ah! Your here, I'll take it from here Paul." He said.

Paul the bodyguard nodded and walked away.

" You dressed up? Are you already crushing on me? I know I'm irresistible" he said winking at me.

" Well, atleast one of us needs to look good, and honey, it's not you" I deadpanned and this time it was my turn to smirk.
