I rush to his car while rubbing my palms to gather some heat...oh my god what if I get hypothermia..then I'd have to stay in the hospital...I won't get to write my exams! And then I can't go to college and I'd never graduate and get a job!

Oh God, oh God, oh God...

"Would you just relax and live a little" Xavier laughs and pushes his wet hair back.

He opens the door for me and I quickly get in. He gets in too and starts the car and it slowly gets warmer.

"I'll get you books directly to class tomorrow so just go home today and get some sleep" he says and I nod.

We sit in silence and it feels comfortable. I look out the window as we dive by the ocean. I've always loved living here. I agree that's it hot amd humid most of the time but I believe that's the fun.

Seeing the beach I remember the time when my parents used to bring me here...we used to count all the starts and eventually have some barbecue.

Everything was perfect then.

I sigh and look up to realise that we near my house.

Yup! My house is super close to the beach and I absolutely love it.

He parked the car in front of my house and picked a call. His face became stern within seconds...must be an important call.

I waved at him and got out of the car. I walked into my house and dropped my bag in my room.

Whew!What an eventful day...

I rushed through the crowded Hallway looking for Xavier. I needed my books and class was supposed to start in a few minutes.

I bump into someone and papers fly out everywhere. I fall to the floor due to the impact.

Gen rushes to me and helps me up. I look to see that I had bumped into Mr Silvers. He was our substitute math teacher and anything but nice. He was short and stout and he looked like he ate children for breakfast.

"I'm so sorry, sir! Let me pick it up for you" I say and bend down to pick the papers up.

"Don't touch it!" He yells and I stop " how dare you? You knew that these were the question papers and I'm sure this was all pre-planned"

What?

"No sir, it was a mistake a-"

"Shut your mouth! I know girls like you! You're a scholarship student and you slept your way into having rich friends!" He yells and I can feel everyone's eyes on me.

Ouch! That one hurt...

Gen held my shoulder in comfort and I was so thankful that she was here for me.

He's lucky that he's a teacher or he would probably have innumerable broken bones by now.

"So, you're mute too? I was right, you are a bitch!" He looked at me and let out a humourless laugh " I'm reporting this to the principal, I better see you in his office at lunch" he yells and walks away. He yells at some children to pick the papers.

Oh God! The principal? I didn't do anything wrong.

I slump my shoulders and walk into class... where the heck is Xavier? I need my books!

I stare at the board and zone out. It's really not fair...how can a teacher be allowed to speak like that? Don't they have like rulebook or something?

Xavier casually walks 20 mins later and the teacher doesn't even say anything.

He smiles at me and slides my books towards me. I give him a smile that probably was faker than Kim Kardashian's butt. His frowns and I look away.
