*Cal POV*
“I don’t even know why I’m so nervous” I mumbled to myself staring in the mirror fixing my hair.
“Because you’re basically third-wheeling with us when you could have a special lady friend of your own but nooooo” Michael ranted.
“Give him a break already” Luke chimed “He’s doing his best”
“I’m just saying, she obviously likes you and you guys are basically perfect for each other, so I don’t see why you’ve got cold feet. Even Ashton got out of his hole of darkness”
“I’m sure when the time is right, it will all work out” Ashton patted my back “Right Cal?” he said. I felt more threatened than encouraged by his words, but I guess I could use the push.
“I swear you two are bad for my health” Michael sighs “I’ll be at the car” he said dragging Luke with him. “Hurry up” all I could do was sigh while my best friend gave me a look of comfort.
“Let’s get this over with” I sighed.

“Reservation for Addy” My small friend chimed at the kind usher.
“Right this way ma’am” he responded
Although it was nice that Crystal offered to treat us Addy insisted that she be the one to do the honours, since it was her celebration and all.
“The backroom, nice” Michael smiled.
“Cozy” Luke added
“I’m starving” Addy spoke the thoughts of the entire group. Earning laughs from everyone. She may be small, but this woman knows about her foods.
“How do you even keep that much food in such a small body”
“Just because I’m short, doesn’t mean I don’t know how to eat, ok”
“Point taken”
“What can I get you guys started with today” Our server Jon asked once we were seated.
“I’ll have the alfredo please” Addy started us off.
“So, what is it exactly that you do at your job” Crystal asked once our orders were made.
“Well, I’m in charge of one of the smaller teams in the company that does tech and games” Addy smiled, sipping her glass of lemon water.
“So, you are the boss” Michael said matter-of-factly
“I guess, you can say I’m like the substitute boss” she shrugged.
“That must be exciting” Crystal smiled.
“With my team…” she chuckled “I guess you’re right” she smiled “But what about you, it must be a dream living the model life, seeing all the beautiful places and such”
“It’s not as glamourous as you may think, but it is fun” Crystal added “I’ve picked up lots of beauty tips so that’s nice” she smiled.
“And what about you Sierra? What have you been up to?” Addy asked
“Well, I’m a vocal coach so just working out everybody’s vocal cords” she laughed “I’ve even got Luke doing some warmups” she teases
“I bet you get to have a lot of fun with it” Londyn chimed in
“Yeah, it’s pretty fun, especially when I’m working with the little ones”
“Oh! I just love those little guys” Addy gushed
“Yeah, they’re so cute” Sierra smiled.
“Hot stuff coming through” Jon entered
“Yes!” Luke said hungrily as Jon passed around the food.
“Breadsticks?” Londyn asked as she passed around the carbs.
“Londyn” Crystal again spoke “I hear that you’re a pharmacist, that must be interesting” she smiled, twirling her pasta.
“Well, not as interesting as it may sound, but it keeps you on your toes”
I took a moment to take in the diversity of the table. It’s amazing how all of us from different backgrounds and walks of life have managed to build such a strong connection with each other so fast.
I stopped to take a moment to admire Londyn. Her infectious smile illuminating the table. It’s amazing how she’s blended herself into the group with such ease, another thing I like about her, her kind nature that draws her to everyone.
As the couples slowly ventured into their own little worlds at the table, I began to think to myself. Maybe Michael is right and I’m thinking too much into things. There’s no denying that there is a connection between us, and we have a lot in common. For us to have meshed so well so soon, is kind of scary but also makes me kind of comfortable.
“Breadstick” Londyn jolted my thoughts prompting me to look at her with confusion “Can you pass the breadsticks please?” she laughed.
“Oh! Yeah” I shook it off, passing her the basket, a lone stick remaining.
“Want to split it?” She asked.
“Sure” I replied with a smile. She smiled and split the dough and handed me a half which I began to enjoy.
“What’s so funny?” I asked as she smile suspiciously at me.
“You really do have ridiculously chubby cheeks” she laughed.
“Where is this coming from?”
“Addy” she laughed.
“Of course” I chuckled “She just hate me cos she ain’t me” I tease, give a playfully arrogant smile.
“You’ve got to admit, she has a point” she reached over and pinched my cheek, sending my heart rate skyrocketing. The warmth of her hand sending even more blood rushing to my face. “It doesn’t help that you’ve got a face full of bread” she laughed.
“Yeah, I guess you’re right” I laughed, almost choking on my food.
“Oh gosh!” she handed me a water, holding back a little laughter.
“Thank you” I tried to say through laughter of my own.
“I don’t think that we should be allowed at food establishments anymore” she teased.
“Yeah” I laughed.
All in all it was a good night. We had fun and laughed a lot. We spent like ten minutes out front of the restaurant saying our goodbyes.
“This was fun” Londyn smiled
“Even the part where I almost died?” I laughed.
“Especially that part” I laughed, pulling her into a hug.
“I love these get togethers”
“Me too” I kissed her forehead “Get home safe”
“I think you forgot something” Michael said pointing to the resident “honeymooners”
“Alright lovebirds!” Calum shouts.
“Alright, but next time, you’re coming home with me” Ashton said.
“Yeah, plus Calum owes me” Addy laughed.
“What does Calum owe you?” I chimed.
“The bingethon”
“Oh! Yeah!”
“Why doesn’t Londyn come with?” Ashton suggested “Could be a group thing”
“Whataya say?’ I asked.
“Why not” I shrugged “Somebody’s got to keep these pheromones in check” I teased at Ashton and Addy.
“Alright, let’s get out of here”
