(4) Summer School and A Lake Date

The following Monday was the first day of summer school. Isobel got herself up and ready for the day. She had to meet Ms Morgan one of english teachers at 730.

Next door Bucky was sleeping as Winnie came in.

"James honey. You gotta get up so you aren't late.' Winnie said in a whisper.

"Mmm. Mom..just 5 more minutes." He said as he rolled on to his back.

"Buchanan..up." James said behind Winnie.

Bucky groaned as he sat up. "Summer and school shouldnt be two words together." He said as he got up.

He pulled himself together praying for the day to go by fast. He found his keys and phone. On his way to school he stopped and got gas a breakfast biscuit and a Rockstar Energy drink.

All the summer school students had to meet in the cafeteria to be assigned to a teacher. Bucky had never been at school without his friends and he felt alone. Phil came into the cafeteria.

"Listen up! Each grade has a teacher and TA." Phil said as he started to assign students to their correct teacher.

He finally got to the seniors. There was 10 juniors teetering the move on scale. Ms Morgan had them follow her to her classroom. Isobel was finishing up putting packets together.

Bucky seen her as she had her long brown hair in a braid. He knew those glasses anywhere now.

"Oh fuck.." he thought to himself.

She looked up to see him slumping into a seat. Ms Morgan took a sip of her coffee and said "Morning class for those of you that haven't had me as a teacher. I am Ms Donna Morgan I mainly teach English which is why I have your fellow student Ms Isobel Berkley from the peer tutoring program." Ms Morgan said

Isobel passed out the first packet of the day which was for English. They worked on it for an hour after they finished. Ms Morgan collected them as Isobel passed out packets for Geometry.

For an hour she taught Geometry in the same way she helps her students in tutoring sessions. Which to Bucky felt more comfortable with and understood it more. After they finished Geometry the class broke for a bathroom break.

Isobel went to the bathroom when she came back out. Bucky pulled her behind the vending machines.

"Please don't tell.." he said

"Tell who?" She said

"Liam..or anyone else. I didnt tell them the whole truth." He said

"And you didnt tell me the whole truth either. But as you can see I am one person that would understand." She said

"Yeah. Anyways..um I had fun the other night at Joes. I would like to hang out again if thats okay." He said

"Sure..and your secret is safe with me." She said as they went back to class.

It was Friday afternoon when Bucky got back from taking his nephews to baseball. He saw her in her hammock he ran down to his garage.

He began to pack his truck down with his camping stuff. When he was done he went to her house.

"Isobel?" He said

"Oh hey.." she said as she sat up.

"Put your shoes on and come with me. I have an idea of great way for us to hang out." He said

"You do?" She said

"Yup. Come on it will be fun." He said as they went inside her house.

While he waited for her he told Abigail he was taking her camping. Isobel came back downstairs.
