(8) Friday Night Lights Begin

A/N^Isobel,Sloane,Bucky,Liam,
Austin and Briella.^

"Whoo!! Game day boys!!!" Bucky yelled as he and the boys came through the doors of Ridgeview Academy.

It was the first game of the year. All the football players were in their jerseys and shorts. The cheerleaders in their uniforms being lead by captain Briella Thomas. The dance team had on their dance top with black leggings since their shorts didnt meet the dress code.

Also on game days the marching band was to wear their t shirts. As Bucky was coming down the senior wing he seen Isobel and Sloane walking towards him. Sloane wasn't a member of the marching band. But he knew Isobel was and when he saw her outfit.

"She is marching band where is her marching band shirt." He thought to himself.

Sloane seen Liam and walked backwards as she watched him walk with Bucky.

"Dude your cousin is a hottie.." Sloane said

"Shush..remember you didnt want them to know that you are an athlete. You have managed to fly under the radar for three years dont give up now. Lets go to the college." Isobel said

"Ugh. Stupid rules." Sloane whispered as they linked arms.

When they got into Isobel's car she popped a peppermint in her mouth. They spent their morning at the community college. It had been two weeks since school started.

When it was finally lunchtime the boys were all gathered around Bucky. He informed his little nephew the social rules and swore him secrecy about him and Isobel. All the seniors that were taking college courses came back in half way through lunch period.

Bucky seen her and Sloane eating their Taco Bell in the courtyard. He shook his head as he thought "not fair at all."

When it was finally time to go to 4th period. Bucky found her in the second level of the library. He sat beside her and pulled out her ear bud.

"What do you want?" She whispered

"Izzy.." he said

"Only my friends and my family are allowed to call me that." She said as he pulled her schedule out of her binder.

"Well that explains alot. You basically have a easy peasy senior year." He said

"Again. What do you want? The last time I checked I wasn't worthy of your attention.." she said as she took her schedule back.

"Isobel there is no need for the bitchyness. Why aren't you in your band t shirt?" He said

She sighed. "Not that its any of your business. But I quit marching band." She said

"Why?" He said

She looked down. "Isobel..you know one day you will have to forgive me. I never meant to hurt you." He said

"I hate seeing you two together. I rather not see you kiss her or flirt with her from the sidelines." She said in a low tone.

He looked down. "Izzy..she's my girl. We have been through a lot. No matter how many times she and I break up I will always love her.." Bucky said

Isobel swallowed back the lump in her throat. She quickly wiped the tear that fell. Bucky grabbed her hand and squeezed it.

"Isobel this summer with you was great." He whispered

She saw the time and started to gather up her stuff.

"Izzy.." he whispered

"I get it. Im a nerd we cant be together. Even though I love you and would never treat you the way she treats you. But its your life Buck do what you want.." she said just as the bell rang.

"Isobel you dont know a damn thing about my relationship. So dont you pass judgement on it by the things you hear float around the halls here." Bucky said

"Bye Bucky have a nice life.." she said as she walked off.

"Fucking bitch.." he whispered as he picked up his books.

Sloane came up to Isobel's locker after she was done at hers.

"So..are you going to come with me to the game?" Sloane said loud enough for Bucky to hear across the hall.

"No..thats your thing. Im going home have fun Sloane." She said

"Oh come on.." Sloane said

They both heard giggles they turned to see Bucky sucking on Briella's neck. Isobel slammed her locker so hard it made everyone jump.

"Get a room.." she said and walked off.

Sloane chased after her. "Hey what was that about? I wish you would tell me what has you so upset lately." Sloane said as they walked to the student parking lot.

"I dont want to talk about it." She said as they got to their cars.

After the game was over Bucky went home showered and changed. He saw her light was on so before he headed to Austin's he went next door.

Abigail let him in and went upstairs. "Hey Iz you have company.." Abigail said as she let Bucky in.

Abigail left them he shut the door.

"Isobel what the hell is your problem? I can give my girlfriend hickeys if I want." He said

She put her back to him as she laid in her bed. "Go to your stupid party.." she said

Bucky walked over to her bed and turned her towards him. "Izzy..please dont make me feel guilty. I get it I hurt you and Im sure it doesnt feel good have your heart broken. But Izzy..we.." he whispered

She looked up at him with tears. "Isobel baby..I. I will never forget this summer with you." He whispered as he wiped her tears.

"So I really am not worth giving it all up.." she said

"Isobel.." he said

She looked down. "You should go Buck. Im sure Ms Perfect is waiting for you." She said

He closed his eyes then he left her house and headed to Austin's party. When he got there he poured him a big glass of bourbon.

Liam came into the kitchen.

"You alright Barnes?" Liam said

"Fucking peachy..seen my girl?" He said

"In the pool." Liam said

Bucky took his bottle and cup with him as he went outside. He joined her as well as the others in the pool. Soon enough the guilt melted away and he was back to being Bucky.
