(7) I love you: This Is Over

It had been two weeks since that day. Bucky and Isobel were finishing up a morning romp. He was laying on her playing with her hair.

She swallowed hard as she ran her hand through his hair. "I love you James." She whispered

He looked up at her. "Don't say that..baby you know what today is." He said

A tear rolled down. "Izzy don't cry. Lets just see what they say then we can talk about what you just said." He said as she pushed him off.

She began to get dressed. "Izzy come on darlin we were having a good morning." He said as he tried to pull her back into bed.

He pulled on his clothes and chased after her as she left his room. "Izzy wait!" He yelled after as he came down the stairs.

He finally caught up to her. "Izzy darlin..please can we just talk about this later." He said as he tried to hold her cheek.

"I hate you." She whispered as she walked away.

"Izzy Im sorry.." he said as he followed her.

She broke into tears as she laid down on her bed. Bucky laid beside her and held her. "Doll baby Im sorry..we have 4 more days of summer. Lets just enjoy them while we can no matter what they say today." He whispered as she cried.

As he laid there her cries died down to sniffles to silence. His apple watch pinged with a text from his mom.

"We have to be there in 30. You need to come home and get ready."

Bucky kissed her temple. "I will be back when its over. We will talk then." He whispered and left her room.

He followed his parents to the highschool. When they got into the conference room it was all the same people from the previous meeting. They all said their hellos and shook hands.

"Okay well lets get started." Phil said as Daisy passed out his final grades from the last month of his junior year as well as his summer school grades.

"Mr Barnes you will be going on to your senior year next Monday.  You passed summer school which improved your grades immensely."Phil said

"Thats great. Good job James." James said

"And my athletic privileges?" Bucky said

"You will be allowed to return to football basketball and baseball." Mr Fury said

"Not wrestling?" Bucky said

"We felt it would be better if you focused on one sport at a time. Its up to your coaches if you earn your captain titles." Fury said

Phil looked down at Bucky. "And they did send a memo that said you would. But if you let this happen again they wont let you have them back." Phil said

"Great.." Bucky said with a smile.

"Well this meeting is over. Senior open house is in two days Mr Barnes." Phil said as they all stood up.

When Bucky got home he didnt see Isobel's car. He pulled into his driveway and pulled back out to find her. After driving to places he thought he would find her. He finally decided to check the docks.

He pulled in beside her car. Isobel was sitting at the end with her knees up wiping tears. He walked up behind her.

"I hope you aren't planning a drowning accident.." he said as he sat beside her.

She looked down. "Izzy..I told you the social rules the first night I ever brought you out here." He said

She still wouldn't look at him. "Izzy darlin..I didnt mean for you to get hurt. It was just suppose to be a summer fling. Nobody was suppose to get hurt.." he said

She stayed silent. "Well you havent asked. But I do get to move on to senior year..and I get to play sports again." He said

Isobel got up and started to walk off. "Izzy.." he said as he followed her.

She opened her trunk and pulled out his hoodie and letterman's jacket. She laid them on his tailgate.

"Izzy..dont act like this. This has to end. It cant go into the school year." He said

She got into her car drove off Bucky sat on his tailgate as he sat there. His phone and watch started going crazy.

"Hey man we are on way back to Savannah." Austin

"Dude you missed a hell of a time!"-Liam

"Hey baby I missed you. Cant wait to see you love."-Briella

"Dude we missed you! Party wasnt the same without you!-Sam

More texts flooded in from the team. He sent out a group text to the boys.

"We are back in business boys! Got reinstated as captain today! Tomorrow starts hell!! I hope you didnt party to hard."

Once he sent that text to the boys. He opened up his message thread to Briella.

"Gorgeous baby. How I have missed those baby blues. Cant wait to see you and kiss you!"

Bucky hit send then picked up his stuff and went home.

For the last two days Isobel stayed at her grandparents. All the seniors were pulling into the parking lot. Isobel saw Bucky sitting on his tailgate with Briella on his side.

She looked down as she walked in. All summer long she wore her contacts. It was the first time she had her glasses on in weeks. Bucky seen her walking into the school.

"Lets go guys.." he said as they all started to walk in.

Isobel got her schedule and whispered a thank god when she read it.

Homeroom:Quinn B. Harper
1stperiod: College History @ college
2ndperiod : College Algebra @ college.
3rd period: Teacher's Aide for Mrs Greyson.
4thperiod: Study Hall

Once she met with her homeroom and got her locker. She applied for her parking pass. As she was about to leave one of the marching band conductors stopped her.

"We need to know if we need to get you a new uniform." She said to Isobel.

"Im not coming back." Isobel said then walked away.

Bucky seen her and saw the table the conductor sat down at.

"I think I left my registration in my truck." Bucky said and ran outside.

He got to her car and stopped her. "Izzy.." he said

"Go away.." she whispered

"Isobel..I said I was sorry. What more do you want from me.." he said

"I just want you to leave me alone. I hate you I wish I never made my presence know to you.." she said as she got in her car and drove off.

Bucky looked down then went to his truck to get his registration. Sloane finally came home from Texas the day before school started. Isobel stayed with her that night.

She didnt tell her about her summer cause she felt it didnt matter anymore.
