(9) Bucky's Labor Day Party

Just two weeks after that night it was labor day weekend. Bucky had his whole group of friends over. Isobel was napping in her hammock as the wind swayed her.

In the quiet air "Yeah" by Usher and water splashing woke her up. She fell out of her hammock and quickly ran up the stairs to her top patio. When she looked over her fence she saw all the popular kids at Bucky's.

Just as she was about to walk away Bucky seen her as he was dancing with Briella. She shook her head at him and went inside. The noise was so loud that she could hear it it in her house.

She finally had enough and decided to leave her house. Isobel drove out to the lake and sat on the dock. Bucky's pool party continued with lots of booze and swimming.

About two hours into his party he felt his phone buzzing. He saw that it was his dad and ignored it. Dean had called to check on Isobel since Abigail and Winnie took a girls trip since they got a 4 day weekend. Isobel told her dad about Bucky was having a party and she left.

Dean informed James when he got out of surgery that his son was throwing a party. James tried for three hours to get him to answer the phone. He finally told his chief of surgery that he had to attend to something at home and left the hospital.

When James pulled up he couldnt even pull into his driveway. He put his car in park and went inside. When he got outside he pulled the plug on the music.

Bucky looked to see who hit the plug to see his dad. He swallowed hard when he seen James' death look.

"I want everyone gone but my son!" James yelled.

They all got out of the pool said their goodbyes. Bucky got out of the pool as he kissed Briella goodbye.

James began to pace.

"I dont even know where to begin! Do you have any idea what could of happened here today?" James yelled

"Dad it was just a party. I dont see what the big deal is. And how did you even know?" He said as he started to pick up the red cups.

"No son it wasnt just a party! If one of your friends drowned cause they were to drunk to swim. It would be on me and your mother! I could lose my medical license!" James yelled

Bucky looked down. "I didnt think about that." He said

"Yeah cause you dont think son. And the reason why I knew is because you may not give a shit about her anymore. But Dean called to check on his daughter and she said she left cause you were having a loud ass party cause she was asleep in her hammock." James said

"I'll go apologize. I just wanted to have fun with my friends. I didnt get to go to the Bahamas with them and all." He said

"And whose fault was that. You are pushing James Buchanan. I have had it with this attitude and this bad boy persona. You are grounded the rest of this weekend get this shit cleaned up. I have to get back to work." James said

"Yeah.." Bucky said as he started to clean up again.

Isobel was standing on the dock as she wiped tears. Being there brought back so many memories. When Bucky finished cleaning up he went to look for her.

"Izzy?" He said as he seen her.

He walked up behind her. "Im sorry about earlier." He said

"It doesnt matter. Things went back to normal. Nobody but Liam knows Im your neighbor." She said

He stopped from her leaving. "Why are you crying?" He said as he wiped her tears.

"Just being here. It makes me a little upset thats all." She said as she looked down.

Bucky swallowed hard. "Isobel then why come out here?" He said

"Because I needed a place to go. Sloane had a volleyball match and my grandparents are in Gaitlinburg." She said not thinking about what she just said.

Bucky looked at her confused. "What?" She said

"Sloane Peters is a athlete?" He said

She covered her mouth as she gasped. "You weren't suppose to know that.." she whispered

"Oh man. I cant wait to tell the others.." Bucky said

"Buck don't please." She said as he got his phone out.

"Breaking News! Sloane Peters is a volleyball player!! We need to get her acquainted."

"Buck..she is my only friend." She said

"Not anymore. Sorry Isobel." He said as he ran off.

She looked down and started to cry. Bucky stopped and turned around. He walked back to her

"Isobel. Sorry rules are rules." He said

She groaned. "I hate these stupid fucking rules! I hate you! I wish I could go back in time and never had met you! Or let you give me my first kiss or take my virginity!" She yelled at him.

"Isobel please don't yell at me!" He said

She walked off to her car. "Isobel wait.." he said as he ran after her.

"Isobel why did you say that? I know you are upset with me but I dont regret this summer with you." He said

She looked down. "But I do. I was a stupid idiot for thinking that for two seconds you actually wanted a girl like me. I was just to fill the void." She said

"Izzy you are beautiful." He said

"I dont believe you.." she said as she got in the car and drove off.
