Jordon drove me to Bowsers after school on Monday. Avery did not come to school today so I worried that she would bail on our plan. I walked in and sat down in an empty booth. I got out some questions I had prepared for Avery, but they seemed too easy. Mr. Brown did help me make these but still. I heard the bell on the door and looked up to see Avery walking towards me. Her ponytail bounced as she walked. She was wearing pants which disappointed me because I preferred seeing her strong thighs when she wore shorts. She slid into the booth seat across from. I couldn't help but stare at her mouth. I wanted so badly to kiss her. I had been thinking about her all weekend. My crush on her had grown and grown. Dominic had a party and I slept with two girls but could only think of Avery the whole time, imagining them as her. Her skin looked smooth and her red shirt highlighted her fair complexion.

"Hey, honey." I smiled. She looked at me but said nothing. I watched her pull out notes from her bag. I pulled out the practice sheets I had and set them out on the table. We said nothing and she began to ask questions about the work. Nothing more which disappointed me.

After we did some questions for half an hour, we both felt the need to end for the night since the test was on Friday. We both shoved the papers and pencils into our bags. I stayed sitting, wanting to talk to her for a while. Plus, we still had fries left. I watched her start to scoot out of the booth.

"Hey, where are you going?" I asked, we just did some work we could at least chill for a bit. She looked back at me confused.

"Oh, umm, I have got to go." She said and stood up. I watched her start to walk.

"Do you need a ride?" I asked, she must've run. She always ran everywhere. "Oh, how was your race?" I asked, remembering her race this weekend.

"Oh, umm, it went well. I'm actually just going to run home." She shrugged. She turned to leave. I grabbed one of the greasy fries and slid out of the booth. I looked at the fries, sad that I was chasing after a girl rather than eating the rest of them. I plopped the fry in my mouth and followed Avery out.

"Avery! I can give you a ride." I called out as I left the diner. She was on her knee tying her sneakers. She looked up at me with her big blue eyes.

"Oh, okay, if you insist." I led her to where my motorcycle was. When I stopped in front of her, she looked at me and her jaw dropped.

"I thought you meant a car." She said. She looked hesitant.

"Sorry, honey." I reached into the seat and tossed her a helmet. I grabbed mine and looked at her. She shook her head and pulled on the helmet. I pulled mine on too and climbed onto the bike.

"Sit behind me and hold my waist." I grinned, thinking of her soft hands on my waist. I watched her climb on behind me. She set her small hands onto my waist and I felt my body tense up at her touch. Her hands sent shivers up my spine. I turned on the engine and headed off. Her grip tightened. It felt nice. We drove through the dark streets with only the streetlights. The moon was waning, and it didn't add much light to the dark sky. I felt her lean her head against my back. I wanted to scoop her up in my arms and lie down and look at the sky. I remembered where her house was from last night and pulled into her driveway. The driveway was carless. I stopped the motorcycle and put the stand up with my foot. I got off and helped her off too. We both took off our helmet and I stared at her rosy cheeks. She handed me back the helmet and smiled at me. I missed that smile. It was the first time seeing it all night.

"Here, let me walk you in." I put the helmets in the seat and walked with her to the door. She reached for the door handle and turned to look at me.
