Chapter 16

In the Ridges, Becky was doing her best to show Roman how to survive on the streets. They approached a street where a group of guys were gathered.

"Okay so I want you to go up there and punch that tall guy in the face." Becky told him.

"What?" Roman asked.

"Go on." Becky said as she nudged him.

Becky put her hands on her hips and watched with amusement. Roman took a deep breath and began walking over to the group of guys.

"Who the fuck are you?" Lance Archer asked.

Roman let out a sigh before punch him across the face. Becky let out a small lagh to herself when Archer didn't seemed phased.

"Oh shit."Roman said to himself.

Archer punched Roman back, nearly bringing him to his knees.

Becky shook her head in disapproval as the other guys started ganging up on Roman.

"Amateur." Becky said under her breath.

She walk up to group of guys as they pumbled Roman on the ground.

"Hey boys!" Becky greeted them.

The minute the guys brought their attention to Becky she kicked one across the face almost effortlessly. He fell to ground and Becky knees another guy in face. Two guys were left for Becky to fend off. The minute they turned their efforts to Becky she elbowed each of them in the throat then finished them off with a punches to the face. Roman got up and punched Archer again. This time he was a little more phased and without his friends he was clearly outnumbered. Roman looked at Becky in disbelief as Archer walked away.

"You know what you did wrong?" Becky asked.

"Um.. No." Roman said in confusion.

"You should have taken out his groupies first then went after the big guy. The way you did things is a sure way to get yourself in an unwinnable situation. You've gotta think things through." Becky told him.

Roman just stared at her for a moment as he tried to catch his breath.

"You're crazy.. you know that, right?" Roman asked.

"Thanks man." Becky said before walking off.

Roman shook his head and followed after her.

Back at the club, Dean walked up and approached Brie with her friends.

"Tell her to stop calling me." Dean told her over the music.

"What?" Brie asked.

"I'm not stupid, Brie. You're her best friend, I know you're still talking to her. Tell her to stop calling me." Dean told her again before walking off.

At Phil's apartment, he returned to find Aj waiting for him on the couch.

"Oh my god, what happened to you?" Aj asked as she rushed to his aide.

"It was nothing." Phil told her.

Aj helped him over to the couch and got him and ice pack.

"Did someone jump you?" Aj asked.

Phil looked into her eyes as she wiped the blood from his face.

"Why are you still here? I told you I would be back like three hours ago." Phil asked.

"I wanted to see you, baby. That's why I waited." Aj said with an innocent smile.
